And now, after finishing Eden, I'd have to nominate Takizawa Akira. His whole demeanor is awesome.

Takizawa was sort of cool, but I think I'll wait to see these movies before I pass judgment on him... For a character to approach perfection, they have to have flaws, you know? That's why I still say Ryuuji, since his little obsessions and periodic lack of confidence etc. made him a really human character, and not just some generic grey blob.
