which group?

Frostii
or
Shinji

AniDB shows these:

Shinji: Video: 1280x720 16:9 VFR H264/AVC (~2290 kBit/s) [ep1 and 2 is VFR, others are normal 23.976 fps], Audio: jap 2.0 Stereo AAC (189 kBit/s), Subs: eng soft styled subs (ASS/SSA)
Frostii: Video: 1280x720 16:9 23.976 fps H264/AVC (~1533 - 1901 kBit/s [this skips pretty much from 1500 to 1900kBit/s]) Audio: jap 2.0 Stereo AAC (189 kBit/s), Subs: eng soft styled subs (ASS/SSA)

So according (~~maybe wrong spelled it~~ ) to Anidb Shinji is better on video, but are they/him/her/it kinda "wtf is that group?!? Never heard!!!".

I forgot who are the people behind shinji but they do not translate. The group simply OCR's the subs from crunchyroll

Crunchyroll subs aren't bad. The shows they are streaming (like this one) are translated by experienced people from the fansubbing community. If you've heard of guys like getfresh and tofusensei, you'll know that some of the subs from crunchyroll are good.

edit: If you look closely, you can notice that in first image the skin is slightly whiter in frostii's image than shinji's one.. :S But

so I wouldnt get killed, If i offer Shinjis version first to test, does it get granted, and if it get rejected, we'll wait frostii?

we need mods opinions here!

The screenshots look pretty similar to me (ignoring colour casts etc), so if Shinji is using a higher bitrate I'm not really noticing it. Would be nice to have a few comparisons for dark scenes, which is where you can tell the difference.

I'm also partial to Frostii's choice of font. Shinji uses a serif font with very short kerning that makes their subs hard to read at a glance. The serifs join together easily and the letters bunch up.

So overall I'd say go with Frostii. But it would be nice to get an encoder's opinion too.

uhh.. gotta download it back.

or if someone already have managed to get more of their releases, would show us.

the font in frostii's image is little better to read.. :S

but in overall.. 2 points for frostii, 0 for shinji.. :S might be better to wait frostii..

I suppose that the video looks a little better in Shinji's, but I prefer the font in Frostii's, plus I'm a Frostii fanboi.

As kureshii said, an encoder's opinion would be appreciated, but if we don't get one, I'd offer Frostii's.

as I dont even know, who is behind the Shinji, I cant ask their/her/his/its (

) to come here to tell his opinion. :S

but I keep taking those frostii's releases (and probably grab also shinji's releases too), and (probably, if I make it) offer it!

here is a one dark scene...(left shinji, right frostii)

I cant say which one is better.. looks like both are at same level.. :S

Frostii's looks blocky... but Shinji's isn't much better either. It's clear both are from the same video source.

Considering the points mentioned earlier, I'd still stick with Frostii.

Not really interested in offering this one. I have a pending offer. I can only seed one if I try offering this. I don't really know why, but I'm still waiting for an official drop post from Frostii (or a post from Sylf himself).

I hope the current uploader fix his description.
