I know, in their condition tho and the old man needing to stay behind, I fear for them

but Natsu will show a serious fight again, he was ordered by guild master himself, he has to show off his true potential, and eat lightnings hahahah.

I wonder if he has to fight them or what to leave that barrier O.o

only a guess but I think that barier was set there temporarily (the one that stopped Natsu) because the duel took place, kind or prevention mechanism, blocking everyone to stop them from interfering. dunno tho, didn't read the mange, just a guess, although it could be that as well.

Not sure.. Because the 3 were blocked anyhow by a barrier.
So I that would make that what you think invalid.
But we will see the next episode, I gues. O.o

There was a totally separate rule specifically keeping Natsu in. They didn't read it out yet but remember when the new runes showed up in red letters, which is different from the purple lettering keeping master inside?

yes but it said something like " there is a match right now between XXX vs XXXX vs XXX"
and then the outcome of it, so I think thats the only reason for the wall for natsu, keeping others from interfering. but we'll see later.

And with that it ends up him not having to fight with Natsu if they are suposed to fight with each other untill there is 1 winner....

They said in the preview that Gajeel also couldn't exit. So that red barrier is specifically set up to block Dragon Slayers.

I don't really care about the previews. This time was an exception since I went for a drink when the ending song was playing and when I came back the preview was on so I watched it as well.

I think Natsu and Gajeel are stuck in the barrier because of their magic. As in, the ancient dragon slaying magic is over 80 years old.
