Fairy Tail is far from becoming One Piece unless Mashima HIRO steers Fairy Tail in a different direction. From what we've seen so far I'd call Fairy Tail a decent shounen series, at best "good". Maybe it gets better in the stuff we haven't seen yet.

Okay you are partially rigth but you have to admit the it has the potential of becoming a classic shounen series.

Alright, 47 wasn't bad at all. Nice combo fighting from Natsu and Gajeel. And cool animation as I expected.

Agreed. Was a nice ep. And I would have never guessed Laxus' secret either.

For those who read the manga. I want a spoiler here if you don't mind. Now that I know that Laxus is also a dragon slayer. Did his dragon also disappear just like Gajeel's and Natsu's? Is his father or Makarov somehow related to the disappearance of the dragons?

Laxus is full of fail, he just doesn't get the point, if Makarov dies without promoting someone to master, the guild is finished, and no one will join Laxus's Fairy Tail, no one will qualify anyways...

Depends. I think that Erza and her Lightning Empress Armour could stand a chance however Natsu wished to fight him and she believes that Natsu will defeat him so her powers would be put to better use attempting to bring down the Hall of Thunder.

Think of it this way. She just took 2/3rds of the power needed to destroy an entire town after already fighting both Evergreen and Luxus for a bit.

I like lightning powers as well, but his plan so far was total fail,

as for Erza, her Lightning Empress could withstand for a while but but dunno for how long.

as for Natsu, he is one crazy hamster, I think he knew Erza wouldn't stand much chance on him, and she would hold at nothing to stop him, and that Natsu would have to somehow bring her back to life again, her self sacrifice talent is trouble, especially now since the entire team is bonded so much

gotta say, Lucy doesn't fail, and I agree to someone in the telepatic stream, she has more of Fairy Tail spirit than all of them together, I'd say, Lucy is the Symbol of Fairy Tail, Hard work, friendship, and helping out others, I wonder why her tattoo is still pink while all others is black, maybe that too will be explained later on

Also it is my opinion nevertheless i am just stating what i think but come on......laxus could beat each one of them alone....forget the fact he is a bastard there is a reason i consider him FAR FAR FAR stronger than erza(lets be serious she doesnt stand a chance against angry laxus)

fail enough, he planned on making everyone fight with the runes, that failed as the runemaster was defeated, the stoned girls were cured before the end of the toruney, and his lacrima were obliterated before he could activate them, that is 3xFAIL!

and now he fails cuz he lost his senses, so now we have
4x FAIL!

I don't doubt his power, just his ideas, if he destroys an entire city just to become a GuildMaster, that is even more Fail

5xFAIL!

Fairy Law hasn't been stopped yet.

Freed was defeated. Not him.

Eve was not defeated. Not him.

The Thunder Palace was a timed spell. He could not prematurely activate them until the magic timer on it was set to go off. He didn't wan't to destroy the town in the first place. He intended to make use of Makarov's love for his guild members and force him into relinquishing control of the guild to him. It's only now he wants to reduce everything to ashes and rebuild it.

He hasn't lost his senses per say. His rage at everyone defying him is more or less allowing him to release the entirety of his powers to realize his dream and latent aspirations.

As far as his actions being fail, I think that is debatable and based upon each individuals eyes and interpretations. I do not necessarily consider his actions to be completely bad. And they are far from right as well. Just misguided. As I see it, deep down, he is actually doing it for the good of the guild from his own point of view. Remember that he did not decide to take his current actions after the guild was nearly destroyed and until after the guild accepted some of the enemy wizards, particularly THE wizard that actually destroyed the original guild as full fledged members.

I don't agree with everything he is doing, but, to a point I can definitely understand. Just thoughts from my perspective mind you.
