I'm not really contradicting myself, I thought she was annoying from the start and thats why I dont like her

Well I really dislike her because she is quite useless, annoying, needy and her voice just makes my ears hurt... I really like when she is in the clock and her voice can not be heard.
She also likes loads of drama, when ever she actually does something its a drama. It is kind of annoying.
Most of the time even Happy is more useful the she is :D And Happy is the stupid/useless character of the anime :D
But I have to agree with Obstorm, she is getting better as she happens to be the only key mage and all the keys just happen to fall into her lap....but she still does not know what to use when now and then :D

Thats another major reason why Lucy could be considered useless. She's faced another key mage before and was completely out classes, if it hadn't been for the assist she would of been killed. The "only" positive trait she might have story wise is the strong feels she has for her friends and her considering her spirits are friends and not tools. Aside from that ONE trait..... she pretty much useless and I can see why people would hate her.... but yeah so much that you wanted her dead from the get go..... naw, to much lol.
Also main reason why they haven't just killed her off is there are way to many things within the story line that will involve her on an epic level. So having to reference a dead characters would be meaningless.

That actually is still not enough to me, she is relatively new to the business of Fairy Tail, having escaped the life she had until now, being rich and pretty, and simply having enough of it and starting a new life without any real life experience, even Wendy has been through more experience due to actually being useful and doing stuff around her own guild. Lucy just started to learn her magic, but I don't mean she doesn't know her magic, my point is, she discovers herself right now, she already advanced to a new level, but that other Celestial Mage you mentioned Obstrom was outclassing her because she had a lot more experience and her Spirit was simply way stronger, (I'm talking about that last one fight) it's not easy when you fight your actual self, who knows what you can do and can counter your every move.
Lucy is a complete rookie, but she has a huge potential, simply because she doesn't treat spirits like tools, a kind heart and her pure intent are her best assets, she does know how to fight with that whip, problem is, anyone she fights with is simply a better fighter anyways, she doesn't have much experience in combat, do notice only she has a pink mark, unlike anyone else, I doubt that is because she wanted it cute, it proves that she is inexperienced, still, after a year, she didn't have much chances to really learn her way around, thanks to Natsu she ends up on quests unfit to her.
Her voice is good, her looks are great, her personality is nice, she only lacks experience but she is well aware of that, maybe after meeting her other self she will gain more confidence. Maybe then, people will start appreciating her presence... sort of :P

Pretty arrogant of you to think that we care whether you approve or not; It doesn't really matter. However you had a point on the fact that simply saying "She's annoying and should of died in first ep" is simply lacking for what where are taking about. Which is why I wrote what I did. Now as I said whether you approve of it or if its enough... i could careless.
The fight that we are using as referral: According to what we've learned as far as Celestial Mages are concerned that the 12 Zodiac keys are the strongest and it pretty much what Lucy uses to fight. So power based they where equal, however she was outclasses in the sense that she simply didn't know how to use her abilities/tools effectively. exa: She never knew Scorpion was Aquarius's bf. Also the other Celestial started to use Silver Keys against her and was still getting beat.
Lastly your statement on the color of their emblem meaning something is completely baseless. Unless you've seen this in the manga or some sort of official statement; trying to claim that the color mean anything is simply lacking. If anything the only thing I've noticed with the color of the emblem is more towards their type of magic and nothing more.
