oh come on - why do you like Sakura? She is one of most annoying useless chars in long running anime I have seen. What do you like about these annoying chars?
Well maybe something in Gintama is even more annoying, I could not watch that thing, annoyed me after first 10 min. Should try watching it again, was in annoying mood back then :D

I like Sakura because she is cute, stubborn, devoted her feelings to one person and kept at it for a long time, in Shippouden her resolve not to be a burden changed her, in a normal fight she now stands a chance, but in a league fight she will lose, lets face it, Sakura is on a average level, while Naruto and Sasuke are like Vegeta and Goku compared with Kirririn (or what it was the guy without a nose), sure he was strong, but dude, can you see that aura ?
It's a whole different level, Ino and Sakura are even in their league, just like Ino and Sakura both would lose with Naruto or Sasuke, you can't have only all powerful people around you, you need to balance the reality and show insane superiority, by having a weaker member in the team, Ino Shikamaru and Chouji, which of them would win ? Shikamaru likely, but if by some twist of fate Ino would overpower them, that would be great.
In Fairy Tail, Lucy isn't a powerful wizard, more likely she is just your average boing blonde with some celestial keys to summon spirits, but we did see what she will eventually be able to do later on, that spell he put in her was amazing. No one is useless in a show, unless they were made that way, but Lucy and Sakura did prove to be reliable, it's just that it seems they are useless considering the level of enemies they are about to face on a regular basis.

LMAO the more I read the more I realize that well Havoc10k, your seems to be part of the minority. I personally also hate Sakura and do wish they had killed her off a long time ago. But this aint the thread for this so yeah, lets drop that character discussion.
So lets focus on FT Characters before we get in trouble lol.
But yeah the color makes seem to be inconsistent
Ep11: Erza in the OP has a Dark Blue as well as Gary, Natsu Red, Happy green
ep20: Lisanna' dark red
ep25: Elfman's is black
ep41: Juvia's Blue
ep45: Bickslow's was Black, Gajeel's Black, Freed's Green as well as Evergreen
ep48: Luxas's was Black
ep69: Wendy's is a like a baby blue
ep75: Erza's Marked got a lot litter to a clear blue
So there really isn't much meaning behind the color of the emblems

like I said, I'm colorblind, i only see primary colors correct, everything else is on random factor, I'm like, lvl 2 and I have a female friend (rare) that has lvl 5 of the ... fuck up :D
