I am so interested of what you guys think about phones.
Well...I'm thinking of getting one of these...each of them has something the other hasn't(a very very cool feature)....I really don't know what to choose.

12.1 mega pixel camera.. can't beat that.. and something about playstation games, but i'm not sure how that would work or if it even does.. maybe they just said that it has the power to play even playstation games.. the aino has been shown to do remote play with the ps3. so i'd say satio/aino/ idou..

also. the s8000 i wouldn't get since it's hsdpa connection is capped at 3.6 Mb.. i'd wait for the phones that are able to take advantage of the 7.2 Mb hsdpa.

iPhone is sucks when compared to Blackberry Storm.
Just because it made by Apple don't means it can sugarcoat the shortage of many important features. :)

-The iPhone lacks basic cut and paste capabilities
-The BlackBerry’s phone quality is better than the iPhone’s
-The Safari browser is certainly more stunning than the BlackBerry’s primitive browser, but the iPhone seems to load even text-only pages more slowly than the BlackBerry over the EDGE network
-The battery runs out faster on the iPhone simply because it is used for more tasks. This makes it less reliable for when one must take the device somewhere overnight without the opportunity to recharge.

yeah, iPhone is actually not worth buying. So don't  let yourself fooled by apple logos ;D

lol fail. blackberry storm OS is full of bugs and typing on it is frustrating because it doesn't have multitouch functionality ... meaning you have to type words one finger at a time per letter while with the iPhone you can use as many fingers as you possibly want.

Just because it made by Apple don't means it can sugarcoat the shortage of many important features. :)

do some research before giving out false information. firmware 3.0 has cut/paste capabilities. also a lot of the missing features from that chart has been implemented.

-The BlackBerry’s phone quality is better than the iPhone’s

that's just your opinion. iPhone's quality built is better than average (imo better than blackberry :D). I've owned the pearl, curve and your beloved storm.

-The Safari browser is certainly more stunning than the BlackBerry’s primitive browser, but the iPhone seems to load even text-only pages more slowly than the BlackBerry over the EDGE network

fail. you should know that has nothing to do with the phone itself. that's depends on the carrier's EDGE/3G networks (t-mobile, AT&T, etc),

-The battery runs out faster on the iPhone simply because it is used for more tasks. This makes it less reliable for when one must take the device somewhere overnight without the opportunity to recharge.

Again giving out false information. I found the iPhone to last just as long as my previous blackberrys.

by apple logos? lol how about dont let yourself be fooled by false biased information.

Carnivus, use this site www.gsmarena.com it has specs on all sorts of phones :D maybe that will help you choose.

Yeah, now that OS 3.0 and the 3GS are out, the iPhone has become quite the contender. It still has a few minor flaws, but they're just that; very minor, and I'm willing to overlook that for access to the 55,000+ iPhone applications on the app store (source).

Palm Pre looks interesting but looks cheap.

I haven't seen any iphone 3GS but it seems to have overheating issues based on what I've read so far. It's speed and looks are top notch no doubt but if it's going to shutdown during the summer or cause a fire...

That's an incredible exaggeration. Take a look at this breakdown:
http://148apps.biz/app-store-metrics/?mpage=catcount

Only 32% of iPhone apps fall under the "Games" and "Entertainment" categories. All remaining applications (68%) fall under the categories of Books, Utilities, Education, Travel, Lifestyle, Reference, Music, Navigation, Productivity, Sports, News, Business, Healthcare & Fitness, Social Networking, Photography, Finance, Medical, Weather, and Strategy, in that order.

In a nutshell: 68% of the ~55,000 iPhone/iPod Touch apps belong to one of a spectrum of different non-game categories. "Nothing but games" is totally bunk.

The way he worded the sentence wasn't completely clear (for example, one might think he was inferring that games were within the useful portion when reading it).

Besides that, it doesn't make the statement any less bunk. You're looking at around 30,000 programs when not counting games. If most people can't find a few out of that number that they find useful, then holy crap, they must have a really freakin' specific definition of "useful".

Apple can't be wrong you know! ::)

They can. I disagree with them on a number of things currently. It's just kind of silly when people start attacking their products with insubstantial statements simply because they don't like the company for some odd reason.

For example, if someone complained about the lack of carrier variety with the iPhone, I'd wholeheartedly agree with them. Basically, if you want to complain, please do so about a real issue.

I don't like apple, particularly, however the iphone is a very cool phone.

If it were available on != AT&T - I would use it.
If the price were around what a NORMAL phone costs, I would use it.

By the way - I wonder if the iPhone takes a drop to the floor as good as -other phones- do.   (doubt it.)

My major beef with the iphone though - is the SDK is Mac-only.   That bites, because I prefer to use a computer (rather than a status symbol/fool impress-er/sex toy) to do my development.  (BTW: stab.)

I wonder how many mac owners have the sex0r with their mac?

I'm leaning somewhere towards 70-90%.

Nothing.

iPhone isn't a phone I like. Why? It's a media player that just happens to have a phone function. I personally like a phone as a phone. I don't give a shit for data plans. I don't need to google shit every 20 seconds or send something to FB. IMO the iPhone is a media player and not a phone. It just happens to have a phone function.

It's honestly like the PSP that someone hacked a phone into back in the day. The phone is a side function, the actual thing is just a media player.
This is your home now. So take advantage of everything here, except me.

With all the apps, it's more like a modern PDA with a phone function. It even shares a LOT with its spiritual grandfather, the Newton Messagepad.
