who the hell wants a Go? Just gt the normal one and use mspd.

virionspiral:
the only reason i'd like a Go is because it seems easier to carry around with you.. plus the PSP's that i have are the Crisis Core and the Dissidia PSP and i don't like carrying those around for fear they'll get fucked up.

So you want to pay for a piece of shit to treat like a piece of shit? That's idiotic. Scared of fucking it up? Buy a used PSP and fuck that up.

Used psp 1000 - $75
Premade pandora - $5
Dual microsd to mspd adapter - $5
2 x 16gb microsd - $80
1 hour to install CFW.

$165 for a 32gb psp which can play any psp or psx iso you care to throw at it, legal or otherwise.

And when 32gb microsd rolls around, $5 gets you another dual slot adapter to give you a 64gb psp.

If you don't like downloading ripped isos, it takes about half an hour to rip them yourself.  Sony is many years too late to take advantage of this market.  Maybe if they had offered downloadable games back when the system dropped, and had a significant number of psx isos for $5 each, then they would have made some money.  Of course they would also need to permit download and storage to a pc, something they seem adamantly opposed to, no matter how easy it is to obtain pirated copies of the same games.

Sony has some cool concepts, but many times they truly don't know how to capitalize on them. With the hacks that were showing up when the PSP first showed up, that thing had the prowess, capabilities and platform that could easily have supported a very good multiplatform entertainment system. It didn't happen.

Now with the Vaio P... People are going to pull ahead and build things BETTER than the Vaio P. Sony takes a step forward and are ahead, only to have everyone stampede 3 steps ahead with Sony following close by, then the cycle repeats. Sony needs to make good of their experience with the Vaio P to make a phone that can actually blow the pants off the iPhone. (Yes, my feeble attempt to bring this long thing back on topic)
