from reading the manga I've got a bit more background info on Battler. When he was young and his mother died, his dad's lack of respect for battler's mum through going out with endless women made battler leave and live with his mum's side of the family. During the time he lived with them he ceased all contact with his dad and stopped going to the family meetings on whats-it-called island. But years later the relations he lives with die (I think) and he once more returns to living with his father, which includes going back to the family meeting again for frist time in 6 or 10 yrs or something.

There was no mention of his little sister even in the manga. But i guess we can say she went with battler to stay with their mothers family. What happend after they died is where things get confusing. If she went with Battler back to their father why is she not on the island? It makes more sense that she has gone to live with another bunch of relatives instead.

Stil lhating his father, battler decided not to bring his sister to the island, so that she wouldn't be tainted by them, the reason why he is fighting with Beato so hard might be to protect his sister, he is dead scared that if he dies no one will take care of her then, that would make sense, and a lot of it.

and as we all agreed, teh series went exactly the way we thought it would, nothing surprising in this ep, altough some nice scenes, everything was expected, l hope that the arcs from here on will pick it up better.

Ange is the six-year-old daughter of Kyrie and Rudolf, as well as Battler's half-sister. She could not come to the island in 1986 due to a sickness. After the events of Banquet of the golden witch, she is raised by Eva after she returns alive from Rokkenjima, and studies to become the next family head. However, she is put through many hardships particularly due to Eva's belief that her son George should have been the next head. Before her death in 1998, Eva passes down the name of "Beatrice" to Ange, who becomes the new Endless Witch. Ange attempts to commit suicide by jumping off a building so she can be with her family, but is stopped by the witch Bernkastel, who offers to help Ange solve the mysteries on Rokkenjima. Despite being the last witch of her time period, Ange, like Battler, does not believe in witches. However, she does understand witches along with their strengths and weaknesses, making her denial of witches very dangerous to them.
