No, it showed one bar of gold. Even if all of this supposed gold had been shown, it wouldn't have mattered, because neither Battler nor his stepmother had seen it.

If Battler argues against Beatrice though (who else), how is the whole succession meant to work? It'd seem hard to inherit the mantle of the family if he doesn't believe in that which facilitates it.

So the third episode is out, and hey, we even got some character development! It was kinda obvious that Eva couldn't be that much of a bitch all the time, but still. Too bad that it lasted what, 15 seconds? Oh well. The series is still really, really boring though, not to mention it's kind of funny how they try to present Battler as someone smart. Oh, and why the hell isn't Maria in an institution by now? Not only is she clearly retarded and/or insane, she's also knowledgeable about occult. And she's nine. I hope this gets explained in a proper way, other then "rich families sure are eccentric".
