I figured this would be more fitting in technology but if you feel it's best suited in the gaming thread just move it over, sorry!
So lately I've been doing quite a bit of research on installing linux on the ps3 and whether it would actually be worth it or not. I know a long time ago when the topic of linux on ps3 first flooded the net it wasn't all that great, everything ran pretty crappy and slow but now it seems like with Yellow Dog Linux it runs flawlessly.
This is the link to the Yellow Dog Linux.
http://us.fixstars.com/This is a link of a Seagate 250gb hard drive that fits the ps3 and works perfectly with it. Although I don't think I should even bother with the hard drive because when you reformat the hard drive to make a partition to install an OS, it gives you 3 options. 1 is to keep everything for the ps3, 2 is to keep 10gb towards the other OS, and the 3rd option is to leave 10gb for the ps3.
