girls like her in terms of personality do exist, however unlike in anime/manga it's rather hard to find because they pretend a lot better so it's difficult to notice.
as an example l'd like to call for Fate/Stay Night VN HF arc with Sakura, those that played know what l mean, what l'd like to relate is that she pretended to alright for years, and if it wasn't for the war Shirou would have never noticed, there is always a trigger to uncovering the real personality, l met such girls with scars often, it's not easy to deal with them wich is one of the reasons they hide.
but there is plenty of this type of girls l assure you, thats the reason why such personalities are being often used in anime and mangas.

not really, it's rather the reverse, you just have to be observant, l know what l'm talking about, tough l didn't even look l found a few strolling in the park a few years back. Really not hard to find at all.

Ah, really? I didn't really meet anyone who is as 'tsundere' as she is now due to a really 'tragic' experience. Most girls now are narcissistic and sensitive in a bad way because of their 'princess syndrome', not due to depression or tragedy. As I've said, most girls nowadays are too sheltered to be good girlfriends.
In short, there are too many girls who are too dumb for my taste; I really need a girl who is sensitive in a good way, who immediately knows what I think or what I feel in a certain situation, not a stupid girl who I constantly have to tell what the hell my problem is, what the hell I don't like, etc. etc. I want a girl who can analyze me by herself without me spoon-feeding her, just like what Senjougahara is to Araragi.
