Bakemonogatari
Borror0:
I have two question:
1. Has anyone figured what the red/black pattern was? At time, the black or red background with the kanji(?) for that color is displayed on the screen, thorough the series. Clearly, there has to be some meaning behind this... theories?
2. It seems that Sejougahara's house is under construction. Was that explained and I just missed it?
By the way, I was curious about what Senjougahara is transcribing in the episode, so I looked it up. It's...

Figured I would share.
newy:
1. No idea, but I noticed that as well.
2. I think it was explained in ep1 or 2.
Atm, it looks quite simple :P
(click to show/hide)Kanbaru has admired/still admires Senjougahara. Got rejected somehow (I don't think that Senjougahara burnt down Kanbaru's house^^) but still admires her. Rejection made her vulnerable and a (probably) monkey spirit possessed her. Araragi is now Senjougahara's boyfriend -> he's roaming in Kanbaru's territory. Jealousy enhanced by the monkey and bam! she attacks Araragi.
That's what I would guess atm.

I agree on both counts.

While trying to find anything about monkeys in the Japanese lore, I came across this story. Being titled Battle of the Monkey and the Crab, I thought it might have been somehow related so I began to read. After reading it, I am quite sure this will have nothing to do with the show but it is certainly one of the weirdest story I have ever heard.
I mean, I get the moral but...
