It's 250-300+ hour gameplay.

http://soukyuu.emevas.net/CLANNAD_guide.html#3.4.1.Fujibayashi%20Ryou:|outline

Read the top, look at the 10+ arcs in there.

I can't see how somebody can say it is a certain hour length so easily. Doesn't it depend on read speed? For those that read a book page in under 10 secs (I am not one of them) shouldn't the entire game take less than 100h?

Depends, if you're fast forwarding to keep up with your reading then maybe, but if you're listening to the voice as well then no way.
And if you don't intend to listen to voice acting, then why bother downloading or playing FV?

I havn't played a single VN (except fully animated ones) where I listened to all the voices, they are so slow. Only in areas where I want to slow down and enjoy it more do I let it go at such a low speed. Special scenes and so on. I don't want a full voice version, I want a partial, the emotional content, not the backgrounds or every day things.

Well ok I don't listen to it completely neither but I was speaking theoretically if you had that guy who reads insanely fast...
But by the time you finish reading most of the times would the dialog be already spoken or near end unless they are pausing a lot...

So I believe the rough estimate is more or less correct...

I can't play a visual novel without voice acting. It's ... hard. Like, ... as an example, I played Fate/Stay Night for about 15 or 20 minutes into the game without voice acting and you can tell that something is off. You don't know their personality from their voices. You don't know how they're acting, their behavior from their voice acting and also you can identify their body language from voice acting. As soon as I got F/SN Realta Nua I was pretty impressed and I was really into it. I did play Clannad FV before this. It's just that theory that allows me to dig deeper into it. Voice acting is very important to me. I can read very fast, almost instantly (at a times) but I'd rather take my time and let the text roll and listen to the voices. It gives better experience, it's a pleasure. But the approximate time for Clannad FV is around 300 hours for all arcs. I believe Clannad FV is longer than F/SN game. I spent about 3 weeks and a half on F/SN with 8 hours on weekdays and 10+ hours on weekends. So an average of 170 to 240 hours to complete F/SN ... everything, including the bad endings. The scenes that I already seen were already skipped so they are not counted.

Clannad isn't even an eroge, heh. Speedreading VNs defeats the purpose to an extent; if you're not going to enjoy the benefits of a visual media, you'd be better off reading a regular book.

I hate to post just to correct spelling, but I think you mean scene, not sense.

Sex sense and H-sense sound like super hero abilities. ;D

Would rather have Kyou and Kotomi's pantsu. You get enough of Tomoyo's pantsu in Tomoyo After, ... like ... A LOT! It's not even funny. But Tomoyo's body > all other girls in Clannad.

Hey, I agree with him.

If I could choose any girl in Clannad. Tomoyo instantly hands down no questions asked now GTFO! If there's any other girl that would even remotely have the chance to persuade me otherwise, it'd be Kyou. Only because she's so tsundere... but then, so is Tomoyo.

It's Misae or Sanae for me. Those older chicks have the boobs and are freaking hot to boot. Things have been hinted at in the Misae arc of the Clannad VN, but I'm hoping it goes through with it instead of just teasing me.

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. If you haven't seen the anime, then you should watch it like ... right now.

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is shortened to Kiminozo (and another one I can't remember what it is) by the Japanese people. It's shortened to KgNE by westerns like Europe, US, Canada.
