Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

Basically, more of the same. I loved Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei from the start, so that's good for me.
The highlight of the episode was definitely breaking sensei out of jail... Isn't Chiri just adorable:

Another season? I haven't finished the first season yet, but I'm almost done. I'll be sure to get Zan though.
Nobody's ever asked me but just in case you're wondering, my name is gibberish.

Alright! I haven't watched Zoku yet, though I've seen Goku, I guess I'll burn through ZSZS1 when I have a couple of spare hours, then get started on this.

Man, SHAFT has been on a roll lately, with Maria Holic, Natsu no Arashi, now Bakemonogatari and this. I just need to see Ef ...

and I say to myself "WHY HASN'T ANYONE RELEASED ONE OF THESE BAD BOYS?"

Right? :)

$826.39 for 38 episodes of anime. Kind of ridiculous.

Some cursory research suggests it's a pain in the ass series to sub, which would certainly explain the current best quality options. I imagine it might deter remuxes onto the BDs given the low quality or disjointed releases available to draw subs from.

OH DAMN I didn't really pay much attention to those prices, and now that I think about it Zetsubou Sensei is kind of a pain in the ass to sub (there are a lot of things to translate).

Ah well. XD

So, I've been wanting to watch this show since god-knows-when, but kept forgetting about it. This being a SHAFT show, I considered it mandatory for me to watch it, so I breezed through all three seasons and the specials and all I can say is that this show is awesome! All the girls are seriously dysfunctional (except Nami, who is just normal), and Kafuka is the biggest troll of them all (which makes her my personal favorite). I don't think any other teacher than Nozomu could handle such a class of misfits. They'd either be dead at the hands of Chiri, or have run away to escape the madness.

I too would have liked the BDs to have been subbed, but with the huge amount of work the various fansubbers put in the TV releases, I think we're lucky the show got subbed at all.

I'll probably rewatch everything later, to catch details I missed earleir, but at lkeast I know I'll be thoroughly entertained if I do.
