The Secret World
metro.:
It's supposed to have no levels, and entirely skill based. I was hoping it was something of an action shooter/fighter, essentially a better version of Gunz, but it looks less epic then that.
I'll take a look at gameplay video and decide if it's worth it, but it seems like it's going to be quite forced. The idea is quite good though.

So I finally got around to playing this (was busy getting bored in Tera) and it seems to be even more boring than standard mmos...every "class" seems to be the same with slight variations, there doesnt seem to be anything to do except quest (which are done pretty well...if you can stand that sorta thing), skill progression is essentially the same thing as standard levels, and my biggest problem is there aren't any instances/group things besides the occasional lolpvplol (tab->spam w/e ranged skill you have until thing dies->repeat) might be better at a higher "level" but there doesnt seem to be enough variation or skill depth for me to be interested...it's back to Aion for me I guess...
Also wtf, havent mmo companies learned that faction based games are bad?! everyone who's ever played one knows how this is gonna turn out, 1 faction reigning supreme and all pvp will fade away

I'm in the CB, and I honestly don't care for it that much. That's all I'm gonna say.

That's a shame. I had hoped the non-traditional level-less and class-less system would promote a higher degree of variety and customization rather than forcing everyone into a featureless void of redmagery. Guildwars 2 seems to be accomplishing unique game play experiences through the immense list of skill possibilities within every class, I thought The Secret World would've gone further.
I don't understand the appeal of faction systems in the first place, it's not like being in a guild and stories/roleplaying in MMOs tend to be the worst. They should have made affiliations as flexible as possible, added more secret societies/shadow government organizations/insidious corporation which you can join or create a mercenary company of your own.

I dont mind factions, what I would love tho is more than 2. . .
its a little annoying only having 1 enemy :P . . .
Aion could get me back if they made the balaur a playable faction
WoW could get me back if they made the scourge a playable faction
. . .but nop =/
