Inuyasha cleanup
« on: July 20, 2009, 05:54:18 AM »
Looking at inuyasha torrents on BakaBT http://bakabt.me/browse.php?q=inuyasha you can tell it's a mess. Serie is splitted in 3 torrents. In first there some duplicated episodes, in second we've got two movies while others have their separate torrents. Is it ok to ask AHQ staff to do some cleaning or can we do that ourselves?

Ps. There's also fansubbed by Ani-kraze season 6, however other seasons were not uploaded.

AHQMV... I think that would be [M]-V on their IRC channel...  IRC might be a better idea here. #animehq@irc.rizon.net

I can easily make a new torrent of that show but will bakabt accept a 40 GB torrent?

It shouldn't be a problem. I mean, City Hunter's torrent has just been accepted and it's nearly 40GB.

Upload failed!
Couldn't create a temporary file: file too big max (100.00 KB). You can make the torrent smaller by increasing the piece size.

I tried changing the piece size, doesn't really matter, sizen = arround 200 kb

Upload a blank (dummy) .torrent, and then request a swap.

Yes, just let the torrent client (uTorrent? If so, don't forget to check "preserve file order") automatically determine the piece size and then request a swap, like said above.

I'm guessing this issue will become more frequent as there are more and more "megatorrents", sizewise that is.

See, what I'd really be interested in is a complete Inuyasha fansub torrent. It'd have to be a lot of random or unknown groups for eps 1-80, but Ani-Kraze did sub from 81 to the end.

Got any old fansubs on HDD/DVD/CD? Please take a look at this thread.

This is one of your long-standing projects, not? I mean a list of fansub releases which should be represented on BakaBT?

By the way: season 6 by Ani-Kraze (133-167) can be adopted.

Can I request that whatever torrent ends up being used lines up the episodes and seasons as per this listing?

Owing to a recent report on a different AHQ torrent, I talked to a few AHQ staff, including [M]-V (or AHQMV), and he's said he's going to go through all the AHQ torrents uploaded and fix them. We can at least wait for a while, right? :)
