Watched the first episode, and this one is surprisingly good, though I don't think it will be as good as Hikari no Go (one of the best game animes ever).

and I was in the mood to re-watch it. . .might as well see the uncensored version

Lots of empty promises out there... No solid ones for now, but I recall seeing a full rip with Chinese subs floating about somewhere.

For those that like over the top mahjong anime the most over top ever will be released in a direct to dvd release in a month (February 26th).

Legend of Koizumi
The story is about Junichiro Koizumi who was prime minister in japan 2001-2006. It depicts him playing mahjong against various world leaders such as George Bush (jr and sr) Kim Jong-il, Vladimir Putin, and later the fourth Reich including a resurrected Hitler.
They all have special moves like Patriot Tsumo, Bush Doctrine Riichi, Apocalypse Now Ron, Peoples Republic Riicihi (which is performed by throwing away the north wind while declaring riichi in the first turn) and Koizumis own special Rising Sun (which is a kokushimuso).

First episode (which covers manga chapters 3-4) has been released on youtube.

I havent seen the uncensored version but having seen the original I can only think of 1 or 2 parts in the whole show were they would actually need to do uncensoring as this show really doesnt have alot of ecchi fanservice.

The Fan service blinds my eyes. Her rack looks like its about to explode any moment now, and the school suits.. Blah totally takes away from the epic game battles. Kozumi / Taisenki / Hikaru Go / and Shion no Ou shall remain undefeated.

The was one of the spots I was talking about. Basically the parts were they are in the hotsprings, possibly the pool and the last episode are pretty much the only parts were they could have real fan service since the rest of the time they are playing the game and not running around nekkid.

altough there are plenty of shots that are "fanservice" approachable. . .say saki going up the stairs. . .or any scene going up the stairs or those "under-the-knee" shots. . .

mmm I guess ill watch it again. . .prolly will rewatch the crucial dvd episodes when they actually come out.

I don't really think it's worth waiting for the uncensored DVDs unless you're watching this solely for the fanservice aspect. There weren't too many episodes where there was censorship iirc.

We may very well... Saki is a pretty popular title for the troubled Gonzo. It's one of their best titles over the last 12 months. We will see more. The question is, when.

True. And there is more story to go on with this series. Personally i was skeptical at first with this one, but as I watched it i found myself really enjoying it.
