Kindle 2 - DRM to the extreme.

<< < (5/6) > >>

dankles:
I found this list of ebook readers that you might be interested in:
http://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/E-book_Reader_Matrix

There are quite a few out there.

EDIT:
In the end, I'll probably wait for some of the new multi-touchscreen linux netbooks to come out and use that as an ebook reader. That way I can control all the hardware/software in which ever way I want.

mgz:
the e ink screens are so much easier on your eyes though

Mgz, have you had a chance to use the nokia n810 with its transflective lcd?

It's not quite as good as e-ink, but is far more versatile tech.  Infinitely better than trying to use something like a psp or laptop outdoors.

i personally cant stand reading long things on a monitor like thing, no i havent tried the n810 but i was considering something like the kindle because i hate small screens and e ink combined with the much larger screens = quite nice.

The DRM is there on amazon purely because they would get sued to shit on some things that happened. So as long as i get my money back when they delete my book on me its not a big deal to me
