Kindle 2 - DRM to the extreme.

Lupin:
The incident only became an issue because it wasn't handled properly. If people were notified earlier that a deletion will take place because of some reason and that refunds will be made, nobody will complain.

Mele:
Regardless of any sort of DRM, I'm reluctant to pay what Amazon charges for eBooks. It'd be nice if there could be some sort of bundle in which hard copies of books were offered with redeemable codes for the equivalent eBook. I can't justify paying for a text file when I can own, archive and collect a real copy.

mgz:
the other big problem with most of the ereaders is they have much smaller book selection thats as easily available as the kindles

...Except what you guys say doesn't matter. No matter if you hate DRM or not (I do as well) people like the Kindle. Much like the Wii and the iPhone, the people who are buying this are the ignorant masses. They think it's "cool" and they'll buy it. That's why there will always be DRM, because people either don't care or don't know a thing about technology.

For the record, I prefer my DS Lite for manga/books. No DRM there.
