Strawberry Panic

Just finished it last night.
The series was full of epic amounts of win.

Let's see:
- Strong and unique characterizations
- Unpredictable and well played-out storyline
- Perfect mix of angst. (not over-the-top, but enough to keep you on the edge of your seat)
- Unique series (There's really no other anime out there like it, that I could find)
- hot girl-on-girl love ::) (the icing on the epic cake that is 'Strawberry Panic')
I've gotta admit, it was weird at first. But once you adjust to the whole "yuri" thing, this anime really is top-notch.
One of my biggest concerns about this series was the potential for "cheesy ecchi and humor",
but they progressed the story with a rather angsty and serious tone that worked perfectly and did not disappoint.
One of my favorite aspects of the series was it's unpredictability. I honestly had no idea how it would end up.
(click to show/hide)With Amane losing her memory, Nagisa and Shizuma's relationship seemingly over, etc; the plot took a lot of twists and turns that really brought out and developed the characters.
The only thing I didn't like about Strawberry Panic was the fact that it...ya know...ended...
There's surely room for a season 2. Or at least an OVA.
I think I'll start pimping this series like Tatsu does School Days... ;)
ps: Excellent soundtrack as well!

Hey Cubes, I'll also pimp this series with you. I like it to an extent (hated the way they left her best friend out, you know?). This is a good series.

Also about the ending, it kinda depressed me. I was almost sure that it would be a Nagisa x Tamao-chan happy ending. But suddenly in the end, Shizuma snatches Nagisa away. The way Tamao-chan pushed her away... remembering this makes me tear up :'(
P.S. Overall, I loved this anime...

Made me all warm and fuzzy inside, especially after the whole sad ordeal at the manor.
I would have been upset had it remained Nagisa x Tamao.
Amane x Hikari? I'm torn about this one.
The whole situation with Yaya was really sad...but it's one of those things where someone was going to get hurt regardless.
I feel I would have been more satisfied with a Yaya x Hikari ending though...
That aside, Amane would have never ran for Etoile has it not been for Hikari...so there's always that to consider.
