Also about the ending, it kinda depressed me. I was almost sure that it would be a Nagisa x Tamao-chan happy ending. But suddenly in the end, Shizuma snatches Nagisa away. The way Tamao-chan pushed her away... remembering this makes me tear up  :'(
P.S. Overall, I loved this anime...

Agree.

Gotta disagree
(click to show/hide)The Shizuma x Nagisa thing...It just felt right.  :)
Made me all warm and fuzzy inside, especially after the whole sad ordeal at the manor.
I would have been upset had it remained Nagisa x Tamao.

Amane x Tsubomi?  I'm torn about this one.
The whole situation with Yaya was really sad...but it's one of those things where someone was going to get hurt regardless.
I feel I would have been more satisfied with a Yaya x Tsubomi ending though...
That aside, Amane would have never ran for Etoile has it not been for Tsubomi...so there's always that to consider.

(click to show/hide)I really like Amane and Tsubomi (her best friend, right?). I mean, Tsubomi's got small hands, she always helped her and assisted her. I don't know, I mean I knew she had something for Amane but in the end she never got to be happy. I didn't like couple of episodes with Shizuma, they could have done better scenes to make something pretty/beautiful between her and Amane, I mean ... she's all hurt and what not because she lost her old best friend and lover, but were those episodes really worth it? How many episodes did they waste? I also didn't like what Amane did to Shizuma when she was hurt in that villa/mansion, she could have done better. I don't know, just those scenes kinda killed the anime.

Neways, >_>;; Amane x Tsubomi <3333333333333.

If you liked this series then did you see Maria-sama? I liked that one more than Strawberry Panic.

Well we have our own preferences...

(click to show/hide)It's been a while since I've watched this so I might be wrong but as far as I can remember, during the latter part, the Nagisa x Tamao-chan was the one highlighted upon. I think it was after the incident in the manor.Heck, just look at the second op Nagisa and Tamao-chan were holding hands on bed while Nagisa and Shizuma have their backs againgst each other. So with all those 'signs', I really thought it would be a Nagisa x Tamao-chan happy ending. But in the end, Nagisa still chose Shizuma and Tamao-chan lets her go.

As for Hikari x Yaya, that's just sad too. It was Yaya who was always with Hikari. As for what would happen to Amane, well honestly I couldn't care less  :P

But see...
That's what I thought made it even more powerful.
The series was slow-paced.
gentle buildup, brewing angst, plot-twists..they all created a perfect atmosphere that didn't feel rushed or boring (for me).

It may have helped that I paced myself whilst watching it.
I watched it over the course of a couple weeks, and it really worked well with the slow storytelling.
It's not an anime I'd like to watch all in one sitting (which is rare because most animes seem to have a better effect that way)
It needs time to grow, develop, and sink in.
Paced stories need paced veiwings, I suppose...

Eventually.  Gotta see Wind Breath of Heart first...  :)

Oh my god you are watching my favorite series! >_< Wind ~ A Breath of Heart ~ is soooooooooooooooooo awesome! Seen it, was my fourth anime prior to learning Anime back in 2004! Maria-Sama is definitely good! It's similar to Strawberry Panic but well, it's deeper!
