The best TTGL torrent out there?
« on: August 01, 2009, 07:34:08 AM »
Hey everyone,

Now I know TTGL is a licensed anime and as such not available on box...

But my question is; Which of the torrents out there is the best TTGL torrent release out there?

I have an older release that I got some time ago with only J-audio and fansubbing which is pretty good but i want to get a premium copy.

I know there a a few 'complete,' series torrents out there but reading through the comments all seem to have one issue or two.
i.e. comments on 'HD' torrent claim it is poorly subbed / missing engdub. and comments on the [zz] torrent which is dual audio claim video is poor, etc.

Just wondering what other people have and which they think is the best quality-wise?

I want to be able to watch it on a big TV!! Dual-Audio is not a big deal for me either as I couldnt take the english dub very seriously coming from watching the original in japanese about 10 times.

Also just a side question to this... What sort of resolution does the dvd release have? Can anyone comment on the quality of the dvds?

Anyways, ive been through so many torrents, reading comments and watching samples but i just cant work out which is the best, any help would be REALLY appreciated!

RaX and Z-Z is both using DVD as source, didn't see any blurays listed on aniDB so I guess noone  has gotten around to that yet.

If their subs are subpar just grab some other groups subs and mux 'em in.

Blurays don't exist for this anime.

I recently downloaded this. I downloaded Order for eps 1-19 then 20-27 from BSS-Anon. BSS released DVD versions of 20-27.

Oh? I thought it was popular enough for blurays to get made. Guess not then.

If high-resolution is all you're after, then the original fansubs (960x540 from Order, 1280x720 from BSS-Anon) will be better than the DVDs and DVD-rips, which will be 853x480 at most. Some friends of mine have DVD releases from EnG for 1-19 and BSS for 20-27, which use the R1 DVD subs or at least improved fansubs. Those are probably the closest thing to "premium" out there.

Got any old fansubs on HDD/DVD/CD? Please take a look at this thread.

Hey everyone,

thanks for all the replies! Sounds like the order/Bss one is the way to go.
Would be great if this came out in bluray!!

Also very dissapointed with the English dub, why do they call Simon 'simone' ??
Gah, anyway thanks again!
