depends on anime series, some of them have some scenes from the current episode (GITS SAC/2nd GIG)
but usually l just skip them, unless something does change, most of the long series do have changes in eighter op and ed, it's common to change it, you can see chihiro doing OP/ED seperatly, if you want to skip them just move OP/ED from the folder and youre free of them, in case of WMC player it's rather easy to determmine when you gotta click to skip the OP, dunno about other players.

It's one of my favorite things about Chihiro. I wish more fansub did that.

I don't really care about OP/ED or the quality of karaoke. I find it ridiculous to judge a series or subgroup by these minor things.
All you have to do is study it out. Just study it out.

I find it ridiculous that anyone would actually sing along with the OP/ED in the first place, but each to his own. At least it provides a way for typesetters to convince themselves that they're doing something really important.

How can you not sing along with OP/EDs? As long as the lyrics are readable then you better believe that I'm singing along with them. Everyone that I have ever seen watch anime does the same thing. Personally, I don't think the English translation or kanji are needed for OP/EDs. You HAVE to have the romaji to be able to sing along, but you can always look up translations later at sites like animelyrics.com.

l'm siniging in my heart if l really like the anime ;]
K-On! is an exception, l keep all the songs and music constantly playing in my head unless l'm listening to my pm3 player (wich accidentally plays them as well XD)

l guess we all got intenively charmed by K-On!, at least l find myself unexpectedly into it.

That is... disturbing. I don't think I've met anyone, outside of some adolescent girls, who'd readily admit that they sing along to OP/EDs. Each to his own, but that sends out vibes even my old morose dog would've reacted to. Of course, improvised karaoke while intoxicated is another thing entirely; Starzinger especially used to be great for that...

I'll admit I have sung to a few, very limited OPs because I really liked the song.

Does that qualify me for "some adolescent girls"? If so, I have some changes to my ID cards to get done quick. ;)

Congrats on graduating from being a lower class otaku. Because I've seen over 500 shows, possibly and close to 570 (haven't calculated my stuff yet) and I've sang with about 1/5th of them and only to the notable ones, like KgNE, Gurren Lagann, Melodies (both opening themes kick ass!) and a bunch of others.

lsing in my heart, and my voice sux so l'll pass on voice singing, but l gotta say l do that rarely, for example, Fate was my favorite and l liked watching OP/ED, also Spice and Wolf was great for that, the second season OP/ED are rather sad so l try to skip them, l really enjoyed S&W ED for the first season, it was so lively and cheerful, l whish they returned to that mood more.

The only anime song that has even made me humming a bit was the OP of Neon Genesis Evangelion I think. I do often repeat them in my head though.

Maybe I'm just weird. Listening to music that I don't know puts me to sleep really quickly because I can't sing along with it. I sing along with every song, everywhere, no matter what it is. I sing Japanese karaoke at conventions, and I have a group of people from around the world that sings Japanese karaoke on the net (it's funny because we are all from different countries, we don't know eachother's languages, but we communicate through our 2nd language of Japanese). Like I said, everyone I've known has sung along with OP/ED's as well. I can't be the only strange person here if they started including karaoke lyrics for OP/ED. If you're worried about sounding stupid so you force yourself not to enjoy OP/ED's then I would say you have your own set of problems. There are, of course, those songs that are just completely uninspiring in anime that I usually just skip (School Days OP, Canaan ED, FSN 2nd OP, Bakemonogatari OP, Higurashi kai ED, etc.).

Bakemonogatari OP
You'll need a little more precision than that.

Bakemonogatari has three episodes: 2 with no OP, and three with their own, unique OP.

Fate's opening and ending theme kick ass! I loooooooveee those themes, and even the new opening theme was great. I even have the opening song as my favorite and I listen to it daily, about 2-3 times at work or at home.

Aye. I apologize in advance for any undue stress this new enlightened state of self is likely to inflict upon your therapist ;)

Congrats on graduating from being a lower class otaku.

I think I'll pass on the pejorative in its entirety, to be honest.

Hen. Zettai hen :P I bring my MP3 practically wherever I go (doing my part for a more disassociative society), but I'd never sing along to any track on it.

Some lyrics just stick in your head though, for better or worse. Gurugu mawaru, gurugu mawaru.... Ahhh  :(
