Ah, if only we could use necromancy to raise dearly departed Douglas from the dead. He should be writing the sixth Hitch-Hiker book, and no one else.

As to the meaning of life, I feel it has to do with the most efficient application of wit under the pressure of living.

To digress, I am now 1337 in terms of post count.

I don't believe there is a meaning, it's what you make of your own life. The Japanese religion Tenrikyo has it right though,

My (crappy/loose) rough translation:

It's actually true in base13 : 6x9=42.
Douglas Adams has stated he would have chosen another question if he had known that.

There is no meaning to life, but to life to which you give meaning. For the actions which you do through the breath of time you are alive will hold repercussions for generations down the road. Weather they be large mountains or small pebbles, the marks you make as time past identifies you as you, and passes on your lineage and ideals. The Fulfilment you then retain from the marks you have left will result in it's meaning. The more fulfilled you become, the more meaning you gave to your life. This fulfillment can come in many forms, and those individuals are left with values certain ideals which they place presendent in thier life.

It's from the books. Douglas Adams thought the same as you it was supposed to be nonsense but by coincidence it happens to be true in base13 math.

BANG thats it, My way of life. i do what i want to enjoy myself to the max within reason. If to enjoy myself i need to go ona a killing spree whilst smoking crack and speedballin its not likly im generally against things that are too self destructive (like suicide)

correct but usually the answers are too long so people get bored on the second line and uses ctrl+F to find their answer
