KSLV-1

If the launch goes well, South Korea will be the world's 10th nation to launch a space vehicle on its own, next to Iran.

I invite the members of Bakabt community to break bread and celebrate with their Korean comrades this glorious occasion.

Look forward to pretty pics and videos. >_<

I think we'll be embarrassed indeed if we fail to do what a third country does with full finesse. >_>

But the rocket's very simple. It only has a full solid rocket booster because the payload's very light. Nothing as delicate as a space shuttle launch vehicle... I even think the North Korean Taepodong-2 is more complicated than our KSLV-1.

Totally off topic.

That pic is enough to give a person nightmares. *shudders* (Kind of joking, it is only 50% wrong, the ones with 100% I've managed to suppress.)

what are they bragging about ?

What North Korea can do, we can.

South Korea has other satellites to use for the same proclaimed purposes of the KSLV-1, and if they lack some, they can launch one for cheaper price and less hassle from other countries. Our main implicit purpose is to show our new indigenous space launch capability. (although it's still not as indigenous as the North Korean launch vehicles)

As of now our space launch capabilities are as pathetic as North Korea's.

Indeed not to you, but you can see even from my own behavior that we Koreans like to brag about even the smallest things.

Being the world's top 10 in space technology will be a big national pride.

and because im not a retard i can say with confidence that you dont represent your country as a whole, much like i dont represent mine as a whole.

Not to say that the country would or wouldnt agree or disagree with you, but 1 persons opinions and feelings are thankfully not = to an entire countries

It's about time.

What matters now is for how long the satellite's gonna stay in orbit.

I'll live in space only when the technology has reached Macross Frontier's level.
