Out of ten? Probably 11. I absolutely loved Natsume. It's really a great series, I can't say I ever had any complaints about it. My only complaint is that I want MORE!

I've watched both seasons twice.. there are a few episodes I've watched even more than that.

Episode 8 of the first season is probably my favorite of both seasons. The amount of times I've rewatched it is probably in the double digits. 6 is also pretty high up there. I'll keep it spoiler free, but it's really a great show with many touching moments imo.

^ What he said. Everything about both seasons was done just right, the characters, the dialogue, the juxtaposition of comedy versus seriousness. And Brains Base did a kickass job with the animation.

I'd say that for overall greatness it is my all time favourite for being consistently entertaining and enjoyable.

stumbled across this series, it looked really interesting. I was just wondering, is it really serious? The story sounds like it could be but the art i saw makes it look a bit lighthearted, not really sure what to expect.  Qekmeister mentinos it tries to mix up comedy and seriousness. Im wondering if theres a show its comparable to? The art style looks kinda interesting and that cat freaks me out! =P

i was gonna just say F it and d.load it and check it out later since its freeleech right now, but there was something i wasnt sure about the 2nd season here:

what exactly is the SFV file in the attachments? not sure if its needed or what. no info there or in comments about it, just about a V2 for ep 2

Learn what an SFV file is. Just google it, wiki it, or whatever.

I'm ALWAYS nice. Well... except when I'm ebil. But I'm only ebil when I'm bored. Although... I'm bored all the time. Not that that's a problem is it? ;)

hmm? where did i say the link to the first one here was dead?

I could have sworn i had some older videos that had SFV files, but that those were actually the subs for the series, which is why i wasn't sure what this file was. Maybe i was confusing the names.

it sounds like i really dont need the SFV file then if all it does is make sure the hash is correct.

as to my questions on the show, i glanced at most of the first episode and it seems interesting. Still not sure what to make of it though. It seems like more of a comedy than a serious drama/ghost story. Almost like a goofier Mushishi? would that be an acurate way of describing it? (only seen a couple epps of mushishi)

So what the hell are you still doing here? Go watch the rest! ;D

I only finished first season of Natsume Yuujinchou, got stalled somewhere in the beginning of the second one. So I can't really form an opinion, but there's one I can say: non-shounen-ai anime with a gay protagonist is pretty refreshing.
But yeah, a nice series, not perfect by any means, but enjoyable nonetheless.

hahahahahha that got me cracking up. Same, for me i wouldn't put him as "gay", but he seems very .... reserved? Soft spoken? Unless he get mad at Nyanko-sensei or something. Theres no gay stuff in the anime so please dont get tripped up by it if your thinking about watching the anime. For me the anime was a 8.5 and ive been meaning to finish the second season, but never got around to it for some reason. Id put this series somewhat close to Aria since it has a very slow and steady pace to the anime with abit of action here and there.

Like I said in a way earlier post. It's a mostly lighthearted show, it has a ton of really touching moments. The comedy mixes very well with some of the more serious themes. It's great watching Natsume grow as a person throughout both seasons. The closest show to it would be Mushishi imo. They're both very episodic and have a great main character.

Edit: Finish Mushishi!

I want to see more threads that ask to rate a series like this one!

I'm definately going to get both seasons of this series, once I've finished watching the anime I've already gotten recently.

lol, alright alright, i'll get back to mushishi as the next show i watch with my buddy since he wanted to watch it. Right now were rewatching Hunter X hunter. i actually bought the US release and am PISSED. They evidently threw out all the different OP/ED's and use the first one for the whole series. Which REALLY sucks because the later ones fit with the mood of the show so much better. Im really pissed and dont plan on buying anything else from Viz media again. They sucked way back in the VHS days, and looks like they suck now. Do they chop up all their shows like that?

Sounds like Natsume is a winner, and as far as Mushishi goes, im assuming its as good as the first few eppisodes made it look? It seemed different and had an almost kinos journey feel to it

I would rate it a 9 just because it ended too early

OP ED and BGM are very impressive

Hope there would be a third season this year
