Natsume Yuujinchou- What do you think of it and out of ten what would you rate?
Meomix:
10/10 - For the fact that meeting a deep character with good plot setting in the same sentence is ever increasingly grim.
Micharus:
Currently watching the series now, I'm up to episode 7.
Artwork is nice, plenty of detail without going over the top.
Storyline is rather simple, but it's a *good* storyline, plenty of room for minor plot changes along the way.
Characters so far are *still* fleshing themselves out, with what appears to be 4 'main' characters, our main guy, his 'helper', a female character (possible love interest?) and another male character that I'm not sure where he fits.
Will rate again when I've finished the series, but so far : 7/10.
Edit: finished season 1.... 8/10

Right now were rewatching Hunter X hunter. i actually bought the US release and am PISSED. They evidently threw out all the different OP/ED's and use the first one for the whole series. Which REALLY sucks because the later ones fit with the mood of the show so much better. Im really pissed and dont plan on buying anything else from Viz media again. They sucked way back in the VHS days, and looks like they suck now. Do they chop up all their shows like that?
Sounds like Natsume is a winner, and as far as Mushishi goes, im assuming its as good as the first few eppisodes made it look? It seemed different and had an almost kinos journey feel to it

Viz does suck, they're my most-disliked of all major anime distributors.
Aside from the changed OP/ED and music swap issues that have affected several of their recent shows, they've also been guilty of:
Lack of song translations
Lack of Song/Sign/Only subs -- it's bad enough when DVD-rippers leave them out, but even worse when the companies themselves don't do it.
Hardsubs/Overlays -- even as recently as the Honey & Clover DVDs. To an extent, I don't care if fansubs/rips do hardsubs. But Viz keeps doing them even after all the other companies stopped when VHS was phased out in 2000-01. I even DLed the Trouble Chocolate 320x240 fansub VHS-rips because I didn't want to deal with Viz's image-destroying bullshit. While I don't feel downloaders are entitled to clean video, paying consumers should be.
Awful, awful subtitling -- I know some like Viz's subtitle colors more than other companies', but with stilted writing, mistranslations or incomprehensible subs (SaiKano), random/excessive localization, and sometimes near-dubtitles (SaiKano OVA), Viz's subtitles outright fail. Example, in Honey & Clover, if someone says "Takemoto," the subs will say "Yuta," "Mayama" becomes "Takumi" and so on.* And yet they leave "Senpai" as-is ??? ??? Nobody, I mean nobody does the "Family Name Spoken" --> "Given Name Subbed" thing anymore. Well, maybe except gg in Kobato, but the difference is that I can't excuse Viz's actions as trolling.
Mushi-Shi doesn't change much -- if you liked the first few episodes, you'll probably like the rest just the same. Just take it slow and don't watch too many episodes in a row.
*Note: this is in situations when only the family name is said, not the normal "Takemoto Yuta" -> "Yuta Takemoto" reversal.

Natsume Yuujinchou ~ It is in a class of it's own. It is very refreshing and up lifting. Sort of makes you feel good to be alive just to watching. I hope they make more of them. I'd give it 9.5 out of 10, Nearly perfect!

There is a second season out, http://bakabt.me/144548-zoku-natsume-yuujinchou-720p-hdtv-h264-bss.html
It continues along the same theme, just plain old 'feel good' stuff.
I've just finished watching the 2009 series and I have to say that it is at least as good as the first season.
The art is at least as good as the first season, quite brilliant in it's own special way.
8/10.
