Why such short fight scenes?

I just hate when they build up a fight that should be epic, and then it ends in seconds............ .....  Is the One Piece manga longer on the fights?

Just because its easier to animate is a poor excuse, imo.  I've seen others with great fights that left me satisfied like Cowboy Bebop, Berserk, Trigun, but why a show that is as big as One Piece slacking on the good fights?

I think I'm complaining because I want One Piece to be perfect.

what fights in One Piece are you talking about anyway? final arc boss fights always are epic - Arlong, Crocodile, Rob Lucci, Enel, Moria...most of Zoro's fights also...and many more

you just like fighting a lot and want to see more, nothing wrong with that.  i just hope you don't want one piece to exclude plot development for more kicks and punches.  And can you mention a fight you find to be too short?  Because in the manga, the fights seem to be just fine in length, but they do depend on the situation (like if a characters is in a rush to move onto the next obstacle or whatnot).
Or you can listen to Noboru-san and think one piece isn't violent and doesn't need fighting =]

Shit... the Frieza arc in DBZ. I think the Spirit Bomb ALONE was like 8 episodes? and so you add in the actual fights... so around 15?

Then don't consider Naruto, it will drive you mad. 3 episodes of talking, 2 episodes of charging super power, and then maybe  3 more episodes of figthing that is broken up every five second by two minutes of talking. I'm not even joking or exaggerating the slightest.

God this topic short of reminds me of one of the Street Fighter animes where Ryu did nothing but spin his arms in a circular motion for the entire episode trying to come up with Ki or something...sooo boring, then again I have also watched DBZ where nothing but "ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHH" *I'm powering up* is the only thing happens for a week...

But on topic, aren't the good fight scenes cut short because in essence they are harder to animate and more expensive and time consuming (I'm thinking of  Kara no Kyoukai 5 the one where Shiki takes on the horde outside the apartments, awesomness. Or ep 6 where...whats her name in the church fights that plant thingy...really flashy :O)
