Why such short fight scenes?

Lupin:
It's not just the fight scenes. How long does a single match in Slam Dunk last?

wait, DBZ had fight scenes, I thought it was a show about constipation.

But seriously more fights are needed, real ones.  I was so dissapointed when I watched all of seirei no moribito and only got one fight scene in the second episode.  Or Rurouni Kenshin it had so much potential, but it was just I'll use this super awesome technique and talk about how you have a bad attitude then a frame of lines and it's over.  I mean tenjo tenge had better fights then that. Which is why TTGL is the best show ever.

Good animation (many frames) IS more costful than paning stillframes with dialogues.
So your original thought is wrong.

I just hate when they build up a fight that should be epic, and then it ends in seconds............ .....  Is the One Piece manga longer on the fights?

Just because its easier to animate is a poor excuse, imo.  I've seen others with great fights that left me satisfied like Cowboy Bebop, Berserk, Trigun, but why a show that is as big as One Piece slacking on the good fights?

I think I'm complaining because I want One Piece to be perfect.

what fights in One Piece are you talking about anyway? final arc boss fights always are epic - Arlong, Crocodile, Rob Lucci, Enel, Moria...most of Zoro's fights also...and many more

Arlong and Crocodile were good.  I felt the Enel fight could have been longer and the whole arc shorter, Enel was definitely not my favorite arc.  I'd like to see more of Zoro; less one shot kills really.  I just finished the Foxy arc which had a good finale with Luffy's afro but what really got me was when Admiral Aokiji shows up a few episodes later
(click to show/hide)and started kicking ass.  They title a whole episode Luffy vs. Aokiji and they fight less than 60 seconds.  I hope they fight again later.

you just like fighting a lot and want to see more, nothing wrong with that.  i just hope you don't want one piece to exclude plot development for more kicks and punches.  And can you mention a fight you find to be too short?  Because in the manga, the fights seem to be just fine in length, but they do depend on the situation (like if a characters is in a rush to move onto the next obstacle or whatnot).
Or you can listen to Noboru-san and think one piece isn't violent and doesn't need fighting =]

I wouldn't give up plot development but an extra half episode to flesh out the fights some more is all I really want.  What I need to do is shut my mouth and watch it for what it is  ;D I just like a lot of action

AceD:
the whole reason the Luffy VS Aokiji was so short was to show Luffy is no way near the strength of an Admiral yet.
