Gundam 00 question
« on: August 15, 2009, 01:16:04 PM »
I have Gundam 00 seasons 1 and 2. Is this all I need? Is there a season 3? I don't like watching anime that leaves me hanging and I have to wait a year to see the real ending. Also, is Gundam Wing still worth watching? I haven't seen it yet.

I've heard spoken of a movie, don't know the details since I am not interested in this series (it was decent in my personal opinion, about as bad as high budget anime gets).

The ending of season 2 was not good. At least in my opinion, seen it mirrored on other threads and comments as well.

Well, I'm loving GundAm Seed so far and I have had a couple of people tell me that 00 Is better. So from what Im reading so far, 00 has a clear cut ending with no loose ends or cliffhangers?

It has an ending, then it goes on a tiny bit to lay out the ground work for the next instalment in this universe of Gundam.

Gundam Wing is most certainly worth watching. Get OZC's remastered Dual Audio version off this site NOW! Very few people actually dislike it, and the majority find it a great show.

Ill probably watch it later on, been going through the UC universe for the first time lately and find that I rate opposite of AniDB. Those rated high I've rated low and the opposite. ^^ Guess it is because I find mecha battles sleep inducing instead of interesting.

No details confirmed about the movie, except it is in 2010 and will concern Jupiter. It will probably expand a bit more on the GN Drives, as the TD Blanket that had to be installed in the real GN Drives had to be made in the high-pressure gas atmosphere of Jupiter.

Considering that Gundam 00's structure and characters are based off of Gundam Wing and not the Universal Century Time line series, I'd say you should watch it first then start 00.  The other speculations about the movie that is coming out are quite exciting though. I have been waiting for a new story arc that finally picked up where ZZ left oft.  I'm guessing though that since it is going to be a OO movie it won't have anything to do with the UC.  But still I'd like to see the Jupiter story finally told.

Have you seen any of the MS Igloo OVA's yet? That has a lot of character development and takes a more personal approach to the Gundam franchise.  It also has some amazing 3d animation. It's basically a retelling of One year war, 0079.
