Peer Guardian [problem]
(1/1)
Tatsujin:
I've tried to resolve this the past two hours, it's not working correctly. First time user on Peer Guardian. I'm using Vista 64-bit (and I know there seems to be some issues with it).
..... I already did the disable thing which is found here:-

http://forums.phoenixlabs.org/showthread.php?t=15268 had some more advice
You could just get Vuze and add peerguardian's lists of IPs to its built in filter, it supports scraping of urls as well so would work roughly as well as peerguardian for the client. Unless you want its functionality when normally browsing as well.
kureshii:
I don't know if it's the same for Vista, but IIRC PG2 on XP required some sort of recovery tool to be run after it crashes, otherwise it won't start again. Look in your Peerguardian folder and see if there's a pgfix.exe or similar. The recovery tool should unload traces of PG2 left in the system memory properly so that PG2 can start, I think.
Syzygia:
Try Peer Block instead. It's a PG2 fork undertaken to correct some significant PG2 Vista/7 compatability issues.
