Japanorama BBC Rejection

DaggerLite:
I don't think this belongs here.

I've seen it, and while it obviously does have some anime-related stuff, the series is not focused on anime, but on Japanese popular culture. It visits bits of anime, manga, movies, music, art, technology, etc. The anime bits are few, focusing on the big titles like Akira, Pokemon, Gundam, Afro Samurai (Samuel L. Jackson), and a couple of others. I just don't think anime was that big a part of it.

Chiyachan:
I think it should. It was brilliantly done. I've appealed to Jarudin himself but looks unlikely. He doesn't liek it. T_T

I agree with the previous post saying it should be on a separate page. But it doesn't feel right adding something like this into the list of all of the other anime. I mean would anybody actually search for something like that , probably not unless they know stuff like that was uploaded. Get what I mean. Ordinarily people would search for anime series, knowing that that is what is on the list. If this was added to just the list, it would be out of place. Nobody would look for groceries in a library so to speak. I think that is why it was rejected, and that is why BakaBt has the rule of, uploads must be strictly anime.

That's why there are tags you can search by. If you could only search by title of course you wouldn't find it, but if you search for other documentaries it would pop right up.

I would really love to see this series added. There are so many references in anime to Japanese culture (traditional and pop) that never get explained. It would be nice to see a series that takes a look at Japan and breaks it all down.

Eiyu:
Wasn't this rejected back in the day as well?

psyren:
I would have allowed this if it focused purely on anime. It doesn't:
