Berserk season 2 coming?

Wanna watch it, but I'll wait for the second movie because I hate cliffhangers.

It's going to be a trilogy, so you're going to be waiting a while

Just watched Commie's release. Considering how short it was, I was impressed with how much they were able to squeeze in without it being (horribly) rushed, though it had about the same amount of character development that all movie do... very little. The CG wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be... only was a detraction in a couple of the big battle scenes. Ended at a good point as well.

Random thoughts as I'm thinking about it.
- A lot more blood and guts than I expected (more in line with the manga than the series was)
- Zodd looked awful in his winged form
- Lack of BGM/music? I barely recall hearing any.

I want to watch the others already! Pretty damn good movie, as far as movies go.

I liked it, but i did like the original more....probably due to the fact it's more stretched out, more development and just felt grittier for the setting.

Agreed. The series did have a lot darker and grittier feel to it.

 Overall I enjoyed it. It felt like watching any other anime movie based on a series.  A lot of material was covered,  a lot was skipped, and if you haven't seen the original series or read the manga - chances are there are parts you won't understand what the heck is going on

(imagine watching this and seeing Guts dream sequence when he is recovering from the wound Griffith inflicted on him for the first time.)

I am hoping by the end of the second movie or at least the third they will get into some new material which was not in the original series.

Not only that I personally don't like the new animation art of the movie, all we can get with these movie trilogy is the whole re-run zipped original series? Kinda sucks...

I still want (just) the sequel of season 1.

Censoring Berserk is like having numbers with not counting. I'm sure for the general population the censorship is needed but for US TRUE FANS who been there since vol.1 to vol.36 of the manga we want the kid fairy destroyer, God hand pursuer bloody and messy!

Wow, that was so much better than the anime. And also different than the manga. The interaction between the knight with that badass hourse is much longer. I'm really exited for the next movies. Is Griffith going to be a ongoing villain in the series? Or will he be dealt with in the next couple of movies? Not a question I want answered, by the way!

I'd also wish that Kentaro would get some work done on the manga, or at least announce that an ending to it is coming soon. I'm getting a bit worried of spoilers for the manga, but on the other hand I don't want another situation like Zetman where there are barely any new chapters although in Zetman's case it's due to the scanlators, and not the mangaka.

Hah, there is no end is sight for the manga. Its pace has slowed to that of Gantz... if not slower. Actually, scratch that. It has the pacing of a DBZ anime episode. If I had to place a wager, I'd say it's 2/3rds done at best.


Edit: Just watched the movie. It's been a loooong time since I've read the manga, so I'm not sure how much they embellished the story, but damn. I was quite impressed. These movies keep getting better and better! Can't wait til Schierke makes an appearance. And the berserker armor! Oh man, this will be awesome.

More projects after the 3 films. Glad they're going to continue this masterpiece. He's got one hell of a big ass sword - bigger than Cloud's Buster Sword.

The three films were freaking awesome. Looking forward to the next set of ... movies?
