Remote pc any good software for that?

Here's my thing i got 2 pc one i use to keep my anime,music,pics, etc... and the other for daily use. I share the hard drive in my network so can use it to download stuff to it or watch or whatever. But when i want to run say like mirc on the pc i got all my stuff, i have put the monitor and keyboard and mouse to set it running then unplug an go to other comp. I know there are software out there that u can use remote pc, just wondering witch one is good to use and FREE. Cause i found a few but they ask for $$$ for a full program. I want to be able to run stuff on pc from the other pc...AND thanks for the replies...

File transfer settings as stable and fast (Got a good 800KBPS on a 30gb file transfer)

np~ anytime! used to manage servers and whenever someone else was on it, would jump on Teamviewer

I've always used the one built into windows.  But I suppose that depends on if you have the right version to do it.

From what i know, it doesnt support file transfer...

I know you can copy and paste through it, it uses a shared clipboard.

I usually just use SSH. Probably not the best choice for you though, unless you are comfortable with command lines.

tightVNC also quite a decent tool. It can get maximum speed easily (at lower point of both end, of course) as it doesn't need a central server - unlike teamviewer, Also it is fairly easy to configure.

I also use Remote Desktop Connection (Windows Built-in).

For the file transfer, you can share the drive on the network (IF your on a LAN...).
