ATI and Video problem

(1/4) > >>

BuriaL:
When i bought my new computer i went with a ATI graphics card. Theres been some problems with the drivers, like black textures in games(seems fixed now).

I cant say its 100% certain. But it seems to be the graphics card that cause a crash once in a while. It happens while playing video, ive had it happen with stream and regular players.
The reason i think its the grapics card driver is becouse i updated it a long time ago and got this problem. Ive been trough 4-5 drivers and still have the problem.

Sounds familiar? Got a magical solution? :P

wolkec:
use driver cleaner and get newest drivers.
Or just uninstall drivers if ur on vista / win7

BuriaL:
I usualy uninsatll then install the newest driver.
For this particular problem it dont seem to help tho.

Drew:
If you're crashing it might be heat-related. Try getting ATI Overdrive and pumping up your fan speed.

BuriaL:
The grapics card is underclocked unless i play demanding games.
Anyways, video run on the cpu, not gpu. Unless you tamper with the player. The gpu only display it, and thats not verry demanding.
