Ok that really sucked about the drake.

Though, I'm not really going for the mounts.  Main is a Druid so I don't really need a mount.

One of the members in my guild is trying to the insane title. (Yes he is nuts.)

the only thing that kept me in WOW were mounts, but because of that bug, l can't get the 100th mount Title and achievement, there fore l can't be arse doing anything, since l played the game ever since Burning Crusade and l have almost all rare mounts because l didn't get the Albino Drake l cannot ever get the Dragonhawk Mount, it shows how fucked up the game is, but the biggest and lamest reason for my leaving was the hillariously brilliantly stupid changes they made for Cathaclysm, Lich King and the Citadel are not even close to being released, and yet, they announce new Exp. and also the old bugs come in Northrend, more and more mobs are superheroes and "EVADE" while eating you up, hell, even thorim evaded on us 2 times in ulduar, l mean seriosuly, they start projects and ditch them, it's 4 years since announcement of StarCraft 2 and they aren't even halfway, Blizzard is just sick, same thing goes for Diablo 3, ongoing, l think only 1 person works on it.

Excuse me while I rant a bit.

I've played since beta and since then I have never stopped until recently. 5 years of playing and what a long and painful trip it was. As a veteran of the game in both PVE and PVP aspects I have to say that I was never more satisfied from much of anything than quitting when ToC hit and then seeing how stupid easy it was. People can PUG that place and get free T9, are you kidding me? WoW was amazing Pre Burning Crusade, and that was the most fun I've ever had in that game. Molten Core was fun, Blackwing Lair was fun, AQ40 was great, Naxx 40 was the real deal. I loved the 40 mans, and 25s were just lame. The only thing I regret not doing in vanilla WoW was nothing making the Grand Marshal grind, but I did get to rank 10 before they shut down the ranking system, which was really stupid on their part.

The 25 mans were a stupid idea right from the beginning. If they were going to make smaller instances don't put in big names like Kale'thalas and Vashj, and pretty much anything afterwords. My lore sides takes over here, but big names also like Illidan, Kil'jaden and even now with Arthas on the horizon is just plain lame. And now what? To spit in the raiders faces some more they make 5 mans 10/25 man versions of everything and they all drop on raid-par gear and to sweetin the deal even further they all drop the badges that were meant for 25 man raids. And don't even get me started on Vault of Archavon where they hand out PVP gear like its nothing. Pretty much the BC experience though went something like this...

"Oh ok, all my T3 and Sulfuras are just going to get replaced with critter dropped greens... well at least its fun to play in a new area."
"Oh the starting raids are stupid easy, well its only the entry level raids, we might get a challenge with later content"
"Oh Black Temple is stupid and Illidan was a joke. Nothing like the books or WC3. Well at least Wrath might bring some new stuff"
That didn't happen by the way.

And then with the announcement of Sunwell I got a little excited. Sunwell was the first real challenge since Naxx 40. And the sad thing is Blizzard has stated "We will never make a instance of that difficulty again" Give me a break. Difficulty is what raiders wanted. Its fine that they want to cater to the casuals because I understand that was their biggest subscription base, but that is no grounds to alienate a whole other group of players. Blizzard has stated multiple times that they have made mistakes with their systems, yet they do nothing to fix them. Nothing. They keep pulling random ideas from out of no where and its pissing everyone off but they just ignore it.

PVP wise all it is is just a caster gib fest now. There's no skill involved with pretty much anything. Arena ruined battlegrounds which were actually fun at one point. Now don't get me wrong, arena's were pretty competitive which was all fun and joy up until season 4, but at the cost of it everything else was thrown off balance and not just taking away World PVP and battlegrounds, oh no it didn't stop there. Class balancing was now based around the 2v2 brackets. There is no more 'balance' in this game. And with the introduction of Death Knights and with current mechanics, I retired my warrior in mid season 5 from PVP, there was no point to it at all. And then like I said ToC came along and that just ended it period.

Like the OP has said about how he's gotten mail about people being glad they quit, he's right. I have no intention of playing in Cataclysm since adding Goblins is the biggest mistake next to death knights and not at least attempting to balance them out. And don't give me that "Oh well a certain faction of goblins were being mistreat-"

RIP my warrior. I will love you forever and always in all your glory. Call me an elitist if you will but vanilla WoW beats anything in the current game.

You got the Hand of Rag?! Fucking awesome man! I got that too. I got the Asskandy as well. I have like some really super rare items on my warrior. I LOVE warriors. I love tanking, being fury or having a 2-hander. Shit is awesome. Right now, we're the only class that can dual-wield 2-handers! Super freaking awesome if you ask me.

But then again, I agree with you. Blizzard even mentioned it that they're doing shit on purpose and intentionally to keep us in the game. I quit the game all together and now look at where I am! Ah, anime ... anime, and anime, and life, and friends, and anime.

Yes. Server first on Cenarius server (West coast server) with the hammer. Archronis was my original characters name and <Eventide> was my original guild. If any of you ex-players or current players know of tankspot.com, its founder Ciderhelm was my guild master back in the day and we were also server first to clear Naxx 40, just shy of even server firsts to clear AQ40 and BWL but Afterlife beat us by like 1 raid week lockout. We broke up because Cider had to quit and no one wanted to take the reigns of the slay, I would have but I'm not really leader type. I should really find my old screenshots.

Edit: But yes, everything about the warrior class was great. There was nothing better than being in someones face and smashing it in. Fury lost is prime though with the damage nerf but it had it coming. At least with Ulduar 25 232+ dps weapons it would be better but no weapons ever dropped for my guild.

I'm from Excelcius and my character's name is Mie. The guild is still alive and running by LyonHearrt. He's an awesome, understanding leader and he's very smart. I quit the game but he never booted me. It's been almost a year so far. I looked over his equipment a month ago and he's geared up very well. Deathoris is also a good friend of mine. They're both warriors.

I've transferred servers 4 times total. I've been in like 3 guilds total over my entire career playing simply because I never leave a guild unless it dies. And because I like to get to know the other players that I spent 4 hours a night with.

1st server: Cenarius, guild was Eventide, and they were probably my favorite guild ever.
2nd server: Argent Dawn, guild was House of Arathor. I stayed with them for the first half of Burning Crusade and then when we started to enter Tempest Keep and SSC we broke up because of a power struggle between the officers.
3rd server: Turalyon, guild was Aeon and I was with them the longest. They were a great group of raiders and I finished out SSC/TK and then the rest of Burning Crusade with that guild. Entered Wrath with them as well and that's when Ulduar hit that things started to fall apart. The new GM that had taken over was terribad and no one liked him. When ToC hit I quit.
4th and current server was Mal'Ganis. The only reason I even bothered was to try and mingle my way into the PVP community as a last ditch effort to revitalize my love for the game but it didn't work. I knew before transferring to Mal'Ganis that it was probably going to be a lost cause.

Edit: I believe all those previous guilds are still up and running except Eventide. But I honestly wish all those players the best, I know of a fair number of them all quit as well and 3 or 4 of them even followed me during my time playing.

That's good. Stay away from WoW.

I have been on Kirin'Tor for ages. Excelcius was born from an old guild that was taken over by 8 other officers (forgot the name of it). Excelcius was the first raiding guild I joined, and the guild I let Mie rest there. I told Lyon and Perc (Perc was the one who created it, he left for RL as well) that if it comes to me leaving then I'll let Mie rest in piece in that guild. Most officers tried to do power struggle on Lyon but Lyon is a smart guy. So they couldn't do shit and they left (about 15 people, 5+ were officers) and they thought the guild died. Infact, he modified it and made it a lot better and powerful and they zerked the hell out of places like nothing. They were causing problems and, you know, if you don't know how to play as your character AND your not a team mate, basically your dragging the other 9/24 members down with you. You gotta be a team player.

I've been a Co-leader, raid commander, lt. raid commander, warrior commander, tank commander, after-raid discussions, formations, guild affairs, problems, and the list just goes on and on. I held titles for being the off tank of the guild (2nd MT) next to Perc and next to Lyon. When I came back the 2nd and 3rd time I was asked by more than 10 guilds to join them in PM's, most were like "awe, still in Excelcius?!". When Lyon had to be away for business IRL, I took over raid commanding. The same for Perc as well. I've got a lot of experience, enough to make a guild and run it. I left about 3 times. First time because Perc pissed me off enough, he's a hard headed person. Second time due to the old officers being dicks and mis-communication for voting for Lt. officer in which I lost warrior command (officer) to Deathoris, which I didn't mind, but was totally fucked over it thanks to those assholes. Kela and Rissa and Lirae were the major dicks in the guild. Third time was because I wanted to choose between WoW or anime, so I chose WoW. And well, because I had a lot of things going on in life. But those three I mentioned wanted to kick people out, wanted to move the guild, wanted to take over the guild. None of them could command the raid like myself or Lyon, Lirae has exceptional experience but not to a devastating point like Lyons or mine.

Before I left, we had ... what's his name, that stupid big dragon with his 3 drakes that fly over your head and they come down one by one. We had two drakes down and him up and we were working on doing all of those 3 drakes. You get that twilight title if you beat all three of them with the black drake. I totally forgot what it was man. But the whole content was cleared before I left except the 3 drake part. Right now they're doing very well.

I'm also a tree chopper, or so I keep nagging about it to the trees inside the guild. :D Something to brag about and make fun of, humor thing you know? I think the main reason that I didn't leave was because the core members and the connection in-between. It's fun being with them.

I feel like I'm bragging a lot about myself but that's what I've done. But well I feel really bad for leaving Lyon like that. He's a really awesome leader. If he decides on something, there's just no way you can go against him and he'll make it work. Only way to convince him is with facts, pictures and proof to make his decision sway.

Once again, never felt as awesome, or as powerful for a class as a warrior in any game other than WoW. Tanking was so much fun.

l've ran mu own guild and we were pretty good, but when all the content after Illidan started showing up the game started to be predictable and horribly boring, we actually hoped that WotLK would bring a lot of challanges, damn we were dissapointed, lvl 80 in 2 days, we conquered "The Explorer" and all dungeons in a week, it was soooo fucking easy, Ulduar was a laugh, even the hard modes wasn't that hard as we belived they would, and now that they announced what they gonna do in the next expansion, i don't mind new landscapes, Mt.Hijaal deserves new visitors, BRD finaly for lvl 85 with a challange, Goblin playable race is kinda fun, ppl will stop ranting about tripping over gnomes only, but:

Tauren Paladin ????
Worgen playable race ????

WTF ????
flying in old azeroth ????

this is not what we wanted, not at all !!!

well at least we can kick onyxias ass again, but my mates say shes damn too easy.

But I hear what your saying. Some players you just can't help but want to be around because their just that awsome and fun to play with.

Early 2010 so yeah. However I too thought it would be bad at first however they have created Lore for it all so in the end they at least explain their choices in the story even though it might be a bad story or a bad idea. Therefore I am imagining that as more of it gets explained and more of the ideas are released to the public it will slowly develope into a half reasonable expansion. Sure I disagree with some things but then again they are the ones with a couple million players and making a boat load of money every month so you have to admit... they are doing SOMETHING right.

Personally I play purely for the social aspects of it really. I have a few friends who are addicted to it and it interests me every now and then but overall it gets boring fast on me. I think I have subscribed for 5 months since BC off and on and therefore haven't experienced much of the end game content or anything but I love the PvP and often found myself camping the battlegrounds for most of some nights.

A few of my friends have resubbed lately so I am thinking about rejoining again for alittle bit but I find alot more enjoyment out of playing on private servers. Just whenever I feel like playing WoW I make a new character on a private server and start doing their max level PvP because usually everyone has highest level armour and highest level weapons so its really just about trying to smash the other team with your own team. Quite nice toturing an enemy player in PvP knowing that on the other end is prolly some kid cursing my name and smashing their keyboard in protest to my actions.  ;D

[MAL] | Nothing is either good nor bad but thinking makes it so.
