First Dual Screen Laptop ...I think

I dont see any reason why anyone would need one of those. I have multi screens for my desktop but I use them for photoshop. Most of the time I turn off those extra monitors because I just dont use them enough to keep them on. Its nice to have but I didnt really use them as much as I thought I would. It was nice with photoshop but since i dont have alot of free time like I did before I simply dont use my PC as much anymore. I do play my games still but not as much.

Back on topic here. The dual screen laptop is pointless. First thing it has to be heavy. Think about caring that thing everywhere you go. The case would have to be like a guitar case. Also having that second screen means that you need more power. The battery life on this laptop has to be poor or perhaps they gave it a bigger battery to make it up. This will make it heavier. The CPU and graphic card has to work harder because of the 2 screens. This laptop is a waste of time and money. If you are going to get this kind of computer you would be better off getting a desktop and have 2 screens. It shouldn't be called a laptop because the damn thing wont fit on your lap.

Laptop are suppose to be portable, light and good on battery. I dont agree with gaming laptops because its not really a laptop if you need to stay plug in to a power source to keep on playing. If you are stuck with a cord then its a desktop. I dont care what people have to say about desktop replacements. I had one once. It was a complete waste of money. I was in highschool when I got it. It was fun for the first year with it but it was heavy, suck on battery, and it became outdated way to fast to worth the cost of that machine.

I have three monitors and run two systems normally (my other one got a nice fry). I find for a desktop dual monitors is a nice thing to have, since it gives you the ability to run stuff in full screen mode as well as keep track of other things. I will admit when I was watching a movie I would only have my main monitor on, that way I could ignore everything esle.

Okay a dual monitor laptop, now that is just a waste, even in a work environment. Countless people have already said the biggest two downfalls of this, weight and battery life. This is just along the lines of those gaming laptops, extra bang not worth the buck. I prefer my laptop to be able to be used for a good amount of time on the go and not having to worry about leaving it plugged in at all times just to use it thank you. I also don't want to feel like I'm carrying a book bag with just a laptop in it either.

My pc is part of a home recording studio. 2 screens is an absolute must!
Running the main software program on one monitor, and effects, plugins, and files on the other.

fwiw: The above laptop is a waste of money time and effort...  ::)

Multi Moniter PC - AWSOME

Multi Monitor Laptop? - Pointless

If you are using multi monitors on a PC there are plenty of uses. I use a laptop primarily but My PC sits over on the desk and I use it when I need more processing power, or just want to have a damn good time. The laptop is great I can move it to other rooms, I can use it in bed, great for movies and light gaming. Other than that though I don't see why I would use the second screen on the laptop.

I have multi screens on my PC - I usually always have a movie running on one of the monitors. Then either graphic design, game, ect on the other. I have been known to also use it for messaging programs while watching movies. OR sudden spontanious web browsing while watching something. You know like the series is almost over and I wanna know if there is another season or if they are working or if the series is done. Sometimes it is nice. This laptop just seems like a waste or resources. I know more and more people are starting to use the laptops as their work horses, but doesn't that kinda defeat the original purpose of the laptop? Portability, battery life, for light application? Not to mention I am concerned how the over worked graphics card will burn out the rest of the laptop. Definate use of a fan REQUIRED
