SECTION23 FILMS(formally ADV) ANNOUNCES NOVEMBER SLATE
scrumly1:
I would feel it was a safe assumption that since the new company is handling Sentai Filmworks properties, that any of the old ones handled by ADV are handled by the new company. Also having read up on it from ANN, does anyone else get the feeling corporate shenigans just took place?
Southrop:
Although Sentai Filmworks is/was very close to ADV, and is one of the 4 succeeding companies of ADV, so it may happen that we will remove Sentai's titles too.
nstgc:
All I care is "will they be as anal" and "will they produce shit translations".
(click to show/hide)Oh, and no, I didn't read those, I'm just voicing opinions. ADV hasn't gotten in my way since I download anime before they are licences. Funi is different story since they will throw out C&Ds before the anime is licences. Neither of those points effect me.

I believe you're reading that article wrong. The part that mentions Clannad is the following:
--- Quote ---It may be important to note that the press release doesn't state anything about the titles owned by Switchblade FIlms or Sentai Filmworks. These include all the recent additions to ADV's catalog such as Appleseed, Clannad and Ghost Hound.
--- End quote ---
Before that in the article, they're describing what each new company has taken of ADV. Basically what I read it as is that the current status of the distribution agreement between Sentai and ADV is unknown.
--- End quote ---
Oh very good. I have all of those titles. -nods twice-
