Besides - what good will being familiar with the likes of ( I'm going off the top of my head here )

- Kevin Rudd
- Gordon Brown
- Angela Merkel
- Medvedev (* don't remember his first name. )
- Koizumi
- Berlusconi
- etc ...

... besides impressing some European journalist/comedian - or getting a nod from a bunch of people who listen to NPR. 

Knowing my geography - that hasn't ... oh wait, actually it does me good to know that Ghana, Chad, and Nigeria are all neighbors - and no-ship/no-sell zones.  :P

I guess knowing that stuff comes in handy.

But what should be REALLY scary - is these people work somewhere.  These people handle stuff like ... maybe your medical records - and ... *gasp* ... it's frightening.

But yes, people have stated that Canada will eat the world in around 50 years. Fight not for oil, but fresh water. (Plus all the random raw stuff we have in our area).

Now, if we could manufacture shit ourselves and sell, we'd lose a lot less money. (Ship shit to USA/China, they build and ship it back to us. HOORAY!)
