The Average American

Natheria:
Well I'm supposed to have an IQ of like 125. *shrugs*

I would love to find somebody too smart to talk with, at the very least an intellectual conversation once every day to stimulate the mind. Unfortunately you don't find many of those kinds of people around and enough topics to discuss.  :-\

Speaking of topics...
*steers back on topic*

From tests that I have taken I sit around 130-140 area. I have taken about 4 of them. I don't know how accurate to the real test they were, but I know that is my scoring area.

Around my area I would have to say I can find many people to talk to, though I'm a talker. I can talk about the weather for a good 30-60 minutes depending on the type. I can talk about just shapes in the clouds, I also sometimes get to have more intelligent conversations that have me thinking before I speak. I will say that the "average American" probably is a lot bit smarter then those in that video, though I don't know if I would say they sit in the "smart range" on the IQ scale.

fohfoh:
People who are "too smart" to talk to people are actually just stupid people with high IQ. There should be no reason why you can't hold a conversation with anyone with relevant interests just because of your IQ. Two people with the same IQ but one loves cars, the other loves gardening probably won't get along.

darkjedi:
I think people with high IQ just inherently tend to delve into more esoteric types of interests; at least, more so than people with normal IQ.

And if I say that comment is full of shit? Moving from one stereotype to another.
