Windows XP SP3. Complete fail?
BuriaL:
A few hours ago i found this new game i wanted to try. I checked the requrements, and it said Windows xp sp3.
So stupid fucking me installed sp3..
Not only does sp3 seem more like a virus, spamming my firewall. It allso blocked me from accessing the net.
New hardware found wizard pops up for every item thats not installed, every boot.
Since nothing seemed to work, i decided to roll back to sp2.
When booting i got the hardware wizards again.
Windows startup takes serveral minutes (1st time i thought i crashed).
I figured maybe the disk needed defragging. And i find out that i CANT defreag becouse i HAD sp3.
The net works..woohoo(irony).
Its prolly best if i just reinstall windows xp and all the software..thanks microsoft, i wish someone dropped a mini-nuke on youre hq.
I dont know if someone had preblems like these. Anyways youre been warned.

The amount of fail in this topic hurts my eyes.
Are you sure it's Microsofts fault, or yours?
With the way you spell, I assume your reading is pretty sub-par too. I conclude you misread everything and turned off all the security features?
May I recommend something? Get a large magnet, and run it over your harddrives.
I bet you didn't even get a legal copy.
XCetron:
you can always not use microsoft product. How about stop being dumb and post this on your myspace instead?

Might I suggest googling "disable firewall in XP", "installing drivers in XP" etc. New hardware wizard is supposed to appear for devices without drivers, if you don't like it then learn to disable those devices (google "disable devices in XP").
Poke around in Control Panel a little more before you shift the blame to the OS.
I might also add that your warning comes somewhat late, especially considering the fact that SP3's been out for more than a year already and plenty of people have been fine with it. If you're the only one that seems to be having problems, maybe check and see if your disk image is named XP.PRO.CORP.SP3[ULTIMATE EDITION V9000].[random_hacker_name].iso

Not only was that a total fail but also a good laugh. The fact that sp3 has been out for long time and the fact that one of my computers, the computers at work (that's like a lot of computers), my friends, their family, lets just say a lot of people have sp3 installed have no problems. The fact that you couldn't connect to the internet initially is because your a idiot. Oh wait the fact that your having major problems and blaming sp3 just proves your an idiot. The fact that it keeps finding new hardware means you need to fcking install the goddamn drivers or just disable.
The following is taken from 5second search using google on how to access device manager where you can disable crap your not using and find which devices aren't working:
"To access Device Manager, use any of the following methods:
* Click Start, click Run, and then type devmgmt.msc.
* Right-click My Computer, click Manage, and then click Device Manager.
* Right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
* Type the following command at a command prompt:
start devmgmt.msc"
That was taken from the first link from microsoft support. Instead of dropping a mini-nuke on Microsofts hq they should drop it on you and do everyone a favor.
If you had posted here asking for help instead of flaming Microsoft for you stupidity then you wouldn't get a grade of EPIC FAIL.
