I remember installing SP1 for Vista the first time, FFS!!! It took several hours! My PC isn't slow, it's got 1GB ram so it should've been able to do it somewhat fast. I turned it on at 18:00 pm or something and it was still running at 22:00 pm. I just think it was that time when Vista was still having one of its child sicknesses...
1 gig of ram for vista? Isn't it the minimum requirement for vista?

Wiki says 512 MB RAM makes your computer "capable" of running Vista and 1GB RAM is Vista Premium Ready. Maybe you're thinking about Windows 7?

I've run vista on a 784?MB RAM Athlon before. (I think it was 1.8GHz Dual core or something). Some random comp my dad picked up for 200 bucks (probably like 2-3 years ago) Oh god it was painful.
This is your home now. So take advantage of everything here, except me.

Uh yeah. Microsoft got into lawsuits because of that stupid branding. Capable of running vista doesn't mean it will run it well.

I think it's like this, Microsoft gave permission to let the manufactors place the stickers on the computers, but Microsoft is one the who got sued.
