because of Dragonball Z, i started doing sit-ups in 300x earths gravity ~ true story.

I put a 40lb bag of rice into a backpack (somefuckinghow) and ran up and down my stairs for 30 mins because I couldn't afford a weighted vest. True Story.

Later on, my parents were like, "We just bought a bag of rice, where did it go?"
"In my backpack."
"Where by the backpack"
"No... it's IN the backpack"
"WTF is the rice doing in your backpack?"

True dialogue.

LMFAO. Thats a pretty awesome story.

And what counts as 'good' Western style tea? Personally I don't like it. But I have a box of teabags in the cupboard for whenever relatives come by
Anything that doesn't come in tea bags pretty much. I think ive been drinking tea since I was around 8.

I just remembered, I began cooking because of cooking master boy. I was even convinced that somehow I can make a laughing bun, a bun that makes a laughing sound. Anyway, it got me started cooking. Then, it eventually turned into a passion.

And hasn't been aired out. Tea that loses its flavour tastes like dust. (Seriously)

I enjoy a good Japanese Green tea, but not genmaicha as much. (I feel the rices makes it taste like seaweed)

I enjoy a good oolong, puer and other Asian teas.

Boh is THE SHIT for milk tea.

English tea is good for overly sweet treats.

I'd say that one of the most important things is how you prepare it, if you've never gave it any thought, chances are you never had a properly brewed tea. And brewing is very important: if you prepared say, sencha, the way you'd prepare black tea, it would taste really bad. Oh, and not all the bagged teas are that bad: Twinings for one makes pretty decent bagged tea. But I usually stick to loose leaf tea.
I enjoy a good Japanese Green tea, but not Matcha as much. (I feel the rices makes it taste like seaweed)
I think you meant genmaicha(although you can get genmaicha with added matcha). I agree it has a pretty unique flavour, but I find it really suitable for colder days.

Back on topic, since we got derailed pretty badly:
One more thing I got from anime, after watching Ichigo Mashimaro I started thinking about buying a scooter. Didn't get around to it just yet, but unless something unexpected comes up, I'll probably get one in spring.

Oops... yes. You are correct on the genmaicha comment. I fixed the above.

Uhh... a certain part of "kiki's delivery service" made me want to try and ride my bike faster than a car. That hope was revived when I watched OverDrive.

This hope was never acted upon because my friend borrowed by bike and never gave it back.

Pu er is really good when you need to relax. I find its smell rather soothing.

I wont buy Twinings out of principle, they have the most annoying add on TV over here

Paradise Kiss made me not hate fashion.
Hikaru no Go may have made me want to learn Go, because I learned absolutely nothing about it from the series.
Anime and manga in general made me want to learn Japanese.

Did anyone else have an overwhelming urge to jump into an elementary school desk when seeing one after so long and so many school animes?

Pu er is good, but you have to be careful. The taste "maxes out" at a certain point and the tea gets super strong. If it's too strong, it can cause your stomach to become upset and if consumed for a long period of time, has the same harmful effect if not worse to black coffee on an empty stomach.

That's why pu er is supposed to be drunk with/after snacks, preferably sweet ones.

My obsession? If I obsess over anything it would be time. I can't even count how many times a day I glare at my watch. Especially when it comes down to the last 2 hours at work.

I have been craving homemade curry a lot more now, though I blame that on losing my Japanese friend that use to make them...

I have a big obsession to also listen to the radio station "Love Line" with Dr. Drew on 107.7 xD.
I also have an obsession with posting a lot on the forum now =P.

After watching Bartender I found myself becoming a chronic alcoholic...
Actually anime in general has spurned an interest in Japanese culture and language. So much so I decided to take intensive Japanese summer quarter at my university. Met some weird people there...

You should count how many times a day you visit the site. I had a minor obsession over these forums back then. I used to F5 every 20 minutes just to see the newest post when I first joined this site a little over a year ago :P These days I visit maybe 3-4 times daily just to see whats new. Mainly the wallpaper thread. I snatch so many pics from there lawlz^^
