I actually mangaged to get x64 versions of everything working on Win 7 x64 RC. MPC-HC worked fairly well with no big problems. I wanted to use Media Center though, and ran into a few issues with that. I eventually said screw it and went with x86 for my HTPC.

Does MPC-HC upscale videos better than Windows media player if they are both using the same CCCP stuff? And do Haali Media Splitter and all work better with MPC?
By the way, if it isn't too much trouble, could you post links to where you found x64 versions of all the CCCP stuff. I keep getting only the 32 bit installers...

you only need a 64bit codec pack if you plan to play videos using a 64bit player such as
* Windows Media Centre (in a 64bit OS)
* Media Player Classic 64bit

I downloaded the 64-bit two days ago. What's the difference in the one inside the new CCCP and the 64-bit? Anything 64-bit can get out of?

64 bit codecs help make full use of the hardware you have if you have a good computer. Also I hear 64 bit codecs with a good 64 bit player can upscale better as well. Can't confirm this though as I am just using 32bit CCCP with WMP 12 right now.
But still I am curious. What is so great about MPC that people recommend it so much. Does it do something better than WMP 12? And what would be best for upscaling the video (I want to be able to full screen things that aren't the full resolution, without getting too much pixelation and stuff).

It's for anime. VLC sucks, Zoom Player is ... no comment. WMP is like for music and DVD/Blu-ray ISO and actual disks if you have them. If you're going to play it from a file that you have (excluding ISO), then MPC is the way to go. Renders very smoothly. Anyways, this is where you can get 64x:

Problem is that it doesn't support Haali Splitter (yet). Don't see any real advantage on the website to be honest. I'll just stick with what I have till 64-bit Haali comes out.
