I know, youtube has been loading super slow lately. I think it's because they started offering HD videos (720p). I've already started watching the first three seconds and it got stuck. Fucking youtube, if you plan on hosting bigger files then get more fucking servers. >:(
For those that can't find it.
Anime: Drawing a Revolution (Part I)
[EDIT] The director of NCIS was on Spirited Away. WTF! But then I can't be too surprised since Dana Scully (X-Files) and The Astronaut Farmer were on Princess Mononoke. XD
[EDIT #2] WTF! It took less time to download each video using orbit-downloader than it did streaming the damn videos. Youtube = Major Fail
temuchin:
just watched it on youtube and saved the flv files in safari. . loaded okay for me - but their blown up 720p crap loads as fast as turtles run.
i agree with a lot of stuff that was argued. i.e the ridiculous pontifications, karaoke effects, abhorrent font styling, incorrect translations, added honorifics, characters speaking of themsleves in the 3rd person, and those god-forsaken translator notes. i am not fluent in Japanese but know enough that certain groups are taking great liberties in the translation of the text. as in - i am usually not completely confident in there ability to translate properly.
but that being said- the fansubbers have performed a great duty in providing a modicum of accuracy in translating series that most likely will never receive an official release outside Japan.
personally speaking if i ran a group- i would treat in the same manner as a professional does.
quality over quantity... always.

Watched this nearly a year ago it was alright but not as good as another I saw around the same time forget the name of it and am having trouble finding it, I do remember that it had a British host/narrator. I also watched one a few weeks ago that was about the manga industry:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlvBrPp2dhg

Maybe you're thinking of Japanorama? That was an awesome documentary set.
