Halo Anime
DaggerLite:
It's hardly about Master Chief at all, though there are some Spartans. It was said before it aired that it would be fairly stand-alone.
The following is not really a spoiler, but I chose to hide it in case people want to watch the episodes completely blind. It's a short list of what each episode goes into. Mainly for logos.
(click to show/hide)
* "Origins I & II" is backstory about the Halos and the Halo universe, and should score well with Halo fans, I'd think.
* "The Babysitter" and "Homecoming" is about some random Spartans, and the story and animation is otherwise what I'd typically expect in an anime.
* "Odd One Out" contains a certain 1337 Spartan. This one is fairly silly and humorous, and it might hit better off with those who like Dragon Ball and the likes of it than with others.
* "Prototype" might be about Master Chief in combat, and includes very much action. It's one for the mecha fans, definitely. However, I enjoyed it, even though I generally don't like mecha.
* Master Chief is in "The Package," which Halo fans will probably like. People who don't like CG in general probably won't like it.
* "The Duel" is the story of a certain heretic Arbiter.
Takeshi:
@logos: Seems like you should give "The Package" a watch. Very action-oriented.. ;)
mgz:
i dunno ive watched most of it, the series is fucking garbage IMO. The animating is done well, but it jumps around so much its fucking silly. There isnt any sort of continuity that ive seen so far and ive only got the like 1 episode to go.
It just doesnt seem like a serious as much as it could just be fucking unlocked footage from a game for half of them
newy:
Are you trying to find a common plot? For me, each episode was a stand alone except those that span two episodes.
Takeshi:
Agreeing with newy.
The episodes were made by different studios so of course there's gonna be different storylines and animation, same case with Batman and Animatrix. Expecting anything else is silly. Also, not a TV series, it's an OVA.
And the diversity makes it so there's probably at least one episode you'll like whether you're into action-packed scenes, artsy animation or old tales.
