well we had a looonggg power outage a few days ago followed by the internet being down for a while after that.. oddly enough after that my upload speeds seemed to improve o_O Not really sure why my router settings appear the same. But ive got extended periods of upload speeds beyond 150K on other trackers and upwards of about 60k for a while on this one

*shrug* maybe somethings screwed on their end that got rid of the upload speed cap?

im gonna try to milk it while it lasts and get my rating past 2.0 if i can =D tnx for the info guys.

do the settings i posted look about right btw? wondering if theres anything int hose that looks off, im not very knowlegable about the settings. I got outa the fansub scene YEARS ago. I think FMA was just finishing up when i quit, i just got burned out. Same old schoolgirl/mech yawn rotation of releases. im getting back into it again now

also about that patch, is that just something on the windows update site?

Oh and finally, Xiong, thats an adorable avatar! is that from something? my niece would probably love to see whatever show thats from if its from something =D

Another option you may want to look into is using TOR (http://www.torproject.org) to encrypt the traffic... Generally speaking TOR traffic isn't affected by shaping or throttling because it is fairly low latency in the first place, but be warned that it is going to be exceedingly SLOW, especially if you choose to send data traffic (which is considered to be fairly rude) across TOR because it is all dependent on individuals who are sharing their computers as exit nodes...

If you do decide to go that route... I would recommend setting up an old box and dedicating it to just running the seeds all the time...
