Omishi Magical Theater Risky Safety
« on: September 14, 2009, 06:38:29 AM »
Good day, fellow BakaBT members. I would like to request this little gem of an anime, since it has become a real pain in the ass to find.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=971

I am looking for the dual-audio version released by OmegAnime & Vision-Anime. This series was licensed by AN Entertainment and distributed by ADV. AN Entertainment's license has expired in 2008, and I can not find this anime on the do not request list.

Thank you for listening.

Isn't it ironic that after you ask someone for something, you suddenly find it yourself. Already found all episodes. I replaced 01-05 with Kotomi's version, since Omega-Anime did those episodes in .ogm, and I hate .ogm. Well....consider this request closed. Sorry for the trouble, but I'm pretty sure that if I hadn't requested this, I wouldn't have found it.

Now the question is, if I want to upload this, do I have to:

a) wait for Kotomi to finish?
b) upload only from O-A & V-A, including the .ogm?
c) upload a mix of Kotomi & O-A & V-A?

The subtitles are identical, off the R1 release. The styling is the only thing different. Kotomi uses h264 and O-A & V-A used xvid, but the video quality is the same. Personally, I would go with "c", but let's hear what the mods have to say.

Option c sounds good to me. I've been looking for this too, although not very hard.

I think c) works as well. If Kotomi finish, we can swap the rest of their episodes.

After some downloading, I found out the option c was really the only good one. There is something wrong with the .ogms for episode 01-05. The subs don't always show, even though the player says they are working, and you can't convert them to .mkv because the video will come out blank. So, I'm going to offer this soon.

Glad you managed to find it... I used to have V-A & O-A's releases, but since I have the DVDs, I deleted them when I saw  that Kotomi had started encoding it. The one other difference I can see in Kotomi's release is that they included the secondary subtitle track, so it would be good to have all of Kotomi's if they ever finish. Then again, even I don't see myself watching the dub anytime soon, so it's no huge loss.

Got any old fansubs on HDD/DVD/CD? Please take a look at this thread.

One last question. There are two extras, one is the creditless ED, the other is a sort of music video with the full ED. Do I include?

Creditless ED would be a lovely inclusion. As for the music video, I haven't seen it, but it sounds like it would probably fit better in the music video torrent category.

Since I saw this come up in another thread, bump...

I can't access AniDB at the moment, but is Kotomi still releasing this, and if so, is that why there's no torrent yet?

Or does Essedus need a poke? If so --> POKE  ;)

I can't complete the project for a time yet, so if anyone wants, go ahead and offer the O-A & V-A release :-\...

If someone would rather encode it themselves, I can provide ISOs from the R1 release.
I’m in your noun, verb-ing your related noun.

That I can do too. I can also provide the avs files etc used by Kotomi if anyone's interested to continue and doesn't want to wait...

My pc is almost five years old thus any encoding will take considerable time and effort of it, so I rather not risk it till I can save up to/afford a new one. And that might take a while yet, as things stand... So sorry anyone who's been waiting for Kotomi in regards to Risky & Safety :-[

Just a little bump -- the V-A&O-A version has surfaced on muteki-anime, if anyone's inclined to DL it and offer it here.

Putting together an offer now, using the usual cliched template...  ;)

Edit: Offered.
