@Temuchin and those interested in his wall, this is his DA profile (I think), and if you check the gallery link you can see them in full size. Really nice stuff.

you sir are correct.  i bestow the internets upon thee.   i knew it was a dA artiste.
btw- i have a couple more in 1680x1050 resolution.

Just saw this (was afk for a few days).
Thank you very much guys, that gallery sure is huge. Lots of internets to you!
I really love that person's colorful art.

PS: I like that "winged-cat"-thing on havoc's wall. Where does it come from?

Why a turnip? >_<
Anyway, I think what he was trying to say was: it just looks like you slapped a bunch of renders onto a background, and they don't really fit :3
I third that. The lighting isn't the same on characters, they don't sit together comfortably, they don't even seem to have been scaled with thought. :/

QFT

anyway, so you basically wanted a wall of your favorite characters, yes? then you should have drew them yourself or had someone draw them then vectorize and color for uniformity.

...If you don't want feedback, don't post it. Simple.

posted cuz I wanted to share it.

it is unavoidable that you get unwanted feedback, because you said

Hope you enjoy this as much as I am :)

and stop acting like everyone hates you, we were only describing what we saw.

so if I share something hoping others will enjoy it, means I want negative feedback ?
I don't act as if everyone hates me, only half of BBT does so.

middle of December, find me someone who can draw perfectly 17 of my favorite characters, I didn't use all 17, If i did it would be pure chaos, I love what I did, not changing anything.

If you know an artist who will draw all 17 chars for me, lemme know, especially in this time of the year...

How about a series of linked wallpapers with different characters on each? Less cluttered and less clashing styles. Using so many is overkill.

In the same way, just because you "hope" we enjoy it, doesn't mean we will.
When you put something up on the Internet, you're opening it up to criticism whether you like it or not.
They're not giving you negative feedback just for the sake of it- They want to help you improve. Is that so bad?

They didn't give you negative feedback, because they don't like you. They don't like what you made. That's a big difference. You know, constructive criticism is meant for the author to get better. Telling them to go fuck themselves because they don't like what you made and pointing out what exctly they don't like, is only showing your character. The more I read your posts, the more I understand why certain people don't like you here. Oh, and you made a typo in the post after you posted your wall :P

Yes there is a lot of things wrong with the wallpaper, and if he wanted all his favorite character it would have been smarter to create a collage a bit like this.

(and it doesn't take any time to create either.)

But to stay on the original topic

If I wanted a wall with each separate character, i'd find it on the net...

lemme see you guys doing a wall with the same idea as mine was, let me see your skills.

Dude, nobody needs to prove anything to you. You don't need skill in graphics producing to say something about it. Many art critics don't know how to paint themselves that doesn't mean their opinion can be discarded.
It's as Brown has said, if you post something on the internet then be open to criticism. Not everyone will (or needs to, as you portray it) like it. While the thought is nice, I don't like it either. This doesn't mean I hate you, it just means that the work you have produced lacks something. That is that the renders do not match the background, the renders do not fit with each other and they are badly scaled. Also some renders look real low in quality, I can even see some leftover white in Lucy's hair.
Just because you put a lot of work into it that doesn't mean I will praise it into heaven, on the contrary, I will do my best to find faults so that you will know for the next time and so you can improve. Because that is what constructive criticism is. That should be, and is to most, the best thing a peer can do.

^ SQUID FIGHT, SQUID FIGHT, SQUID FIGHT..... >:D

Just couldn't resist there. Well it's not actually that bad, it's just that a few thing could have been done better. (Before you ask the skill-question again: No I probably couldn't have) Since everything else has been pretty much pointed out already, I won't say anything more.

Basically. I downloaded BBT's wallpaper packs recently and I haven't seen them all yet.
Putting them up for the people who either:

1. Don't have/Don't want the wallpaper back
or
2. Weren't here when this was first posted.

Other than that, I just think it's awesome :3

this is edvard munch's "the scream".  this is ART and how i feel now.

a desktop design must have a modicum of quality.   think of Mt's- elite gallery.  (your aim)
first off you need to develop a tangible concept for a wall.   merely slapping poorly extracted female
characters unto a psuedo-ms xp inspired bg is a crime against nature.

a good point of reference for extracting with the pen tool can be found here
and whomever mentioned - just vector it--  no, no, no he/she needs to work basics first.

go to a local bookstore and scope out some art-books.   do yourself a favor and dl the documentary "helvetica".
hell pick up any magazine and scope pout the advertisements--   focus on the graphic design elements.

then open up PS experiment, play around, develop a tangible concept and post again. (avoid using 2 many filters)

@mrdkreka- i am a firm believer that no more than 4 images should be present on a "collage".
think andy warhol "pop art" or in more modern terms brute's "kmfdm" artwork.   no more than 4 ever.

^ i'm the one who said -just vector it-, though your taking it WAYYYY out of context, read what i said again.
i said something like "have someone draw all characters then vectorize it". not "vectorize the renders you get". different things, mate.

^^ i know what you wrote.   the chances of some1 vectoring 17 characters
on a whim for him is pretty low- wouldn't ya say, mate?

so he needs to focus on the fundamentals.  first up- extraction 101/
